The Qatari sheikh's probably spend 222 million a day. They are obscenely rich. Money is never an issue.

They are not that rich and not that stupid.

Noticed how PSG stopped making big money transfers the last two seasons as oil prices dropped?

However, while they don't have 200M a day to burn, they do sit on several trillions of assets, and they needed to make statement this summer (not just for football reasons) so here we are...

I still hope we can force PSG to include Veratti in the deal!

I don't wanna give some PSG fans on the board here the reognitiation they seek, but let's be honest. Nasser has Barca by the balls.
And he knows that and enjoys it. There's absolutely no way, Barca can hope to seek any advantagous deal now. Why would Nasser agree to such a step back now? Because he's in a good mood?
Verratti ain't going nowhere while Neymar is. That's the bitter reality.

Tebas is a Madridista scumbag, but no way is he doing this to fuck over Barca.

There would be huge pressure from other clubs to stop this deal from happening, these sponsorship deals are too much of a threat to the release clause policy. Most clubs would get hugely fucked these types of transfers.

Try to understand why La Liga wouldn't want this deal to go through.

Qatar owns half of London and Paris. Oil price is little relevant since they aren't an oil producing country.

Yes, we can. Neymar's money will come eventually, today or few weeks won't make difference. Money for Coutinho and Dembele? That's what Banks is used for.

We're eagerly waiting for payment...no shit Sherlock.

We can still spend the money and recoup later.

Tebas is playing a losing game.

Worst case scenario. We spend 180-200M on Coutinho+dembele, but PSG never manages to complete neymar's transfer. Then we're breaking FFP in the process.

I don't think the board will go spend 200M without being sure they will get it back before august 31. And so far, there's optimism on psg side, but they refused to tell they are sure of it.

UEFA said La LIga can't block it yesterday.
Marca has an article where they said PSG contacted FIFA, and they said the same.

In the end, the ones that might end up punished are La Liga, because they can't substitute in place of UEFA to judge if the transfer is legal or not.

Not really, they had -185m€ net spend the past two seasons. In the 2 years prior to those 2 years it was -160m€ and the 2 years prior to that it was -245m€.
They are spending as much now as they have always done since their takeover, nothing really changed that much.

You're confusing Dubai and Qatar.

Qatar us very much an oil and gas producing country
he's right about Qatar owning half of paris, and London.

Just a week ago when the neymar saga started, I had a documentary on TV on how Qatar bought more than half rich assests in Paris, and same in London, and some more EU cities.

Qatar is freaking rich.

I didn't say he's wrong about that -- Qatar has been working very hard to diversify with their sovereign wealth funds. But they are still a major oil and gas exporter. Dubai on the other hand is the place in the Gulf that has almost no oil and is entirely focused on tourism and investment. Which is probably why they haven't bought any football clubs so far...
