Neymar Jr. - v5

With the rivalry between Qatar and Abu Dhabi, just wondering why City didn't buy Neymar? The only team that can rival PSG in cash if not more. The reason I would think is Pep didn't want to burn the bridge with Barca's fans but again didn't he try to sign Messi?

I was thinking this earlier but i guess City spent too much this window by the time Neymar became 'available' i wouldn't rule out him going there after PSG though

One thing knowing Pep's personality and how disciplined he is, he will never sign a drama queen and pop star personality like Neymar.

Neymar had the choice but asked his father to contact PSG as it was his first choice. As crazy as it sounds, he wanted to go to PSG. He even asked Alves to go there.

A nice article on the SPORT website 'How the Neymars betrayed Barcelona to push through PSG move'. It's worth to take a look at it.

Dani Alves and his big mouth confirmed what we knew all along. Ney had already planned to leave before the start of July. He lied to his teammates, to the club and then had the nerve to say he only made his mind up 2 days before the deal was annouced. The entire tour of the US was a fuckin circus cuz he knew damn well that he wanted to leave. Only reason everything took so long was because the sons of bitches wanted to leave with the 26 mil. I think had he made his intentions clear at the outset about wanting a fresh challenge, everyone connected to the club would have respected the decision to a certain extent. But he and his dad chose the bitch route instead by lying and scheming their way out the back door. Sadly, That's how he'll be remembered. That's his legacy.

It is how business is conducted everywhere. More shit happens behind the scenes than before our eyes. For these reasons, i'm 100 % positive the board knew that the deal was done, and consequently they cannot pin their failure in replacing Neymar on his delayed accouncement. They could and should have at least bought a 100 Millions midfielder at the right time.

by the way, the lad said he came to barca to play alongside messi but he wants to move to PSG for the club itself. what an insult to some of our great, homegrown players such as iniesta, pique and busquets, all of whom are world champions and have accomplished much more than neymar or his teammates at PSG ever will. I'd wager if madrid could muscle up the 222 then scumbag jr and scumbaj sr would even have signed for them. and honestly given how utterly shameless these two are, it wouldn't surprise me if his long goal is to end up into madrid via the PSG connecting flight and milk one last transfer and wage bonus.

Really? Ah, OK than. Sorry Ney. We're overreacting to what appears to be usual transfer folklore.

i'm not talking about neymar here nor defending him. I'm talking about our current situation regarding transfers. I'm saying if the board comes out and say " well, neymar's decision came too late" then i would not buy that.
