All 105 goals in 4 seasons playing for Barca. Judge for yourself.
I wonder if he'll have so many tap ins opportunities in PSG.

Last time I checked there was no messi in brazil and he has a shitton of goals in brazil for his age

lol hypocrites the lot of you. Your club does the same thing to get players that neymar did to you.

You have the likes of former players like xavi or Ronaldinho saying what great things they'd do here. Then it's the current players like pique who state or post a message about said player. Then you'd get the Catalan media doing your bidding on social media and in print. So don't be hypocrites please.

Hey I understand it's the nature of the game and I accept it because it's a dog it dog world. Hell we do it ourselves even this summer with van dijk. So we are just as guilty as Barca, but I admit it and am no hypocrite.

Mate, what the hell are you on about? Neymar was dishonest, that's the problem. He knew he was leaving, his father knew he was leaving. Everything was pre-arranged, pre-meditated. They lied they were dishonest and they stalled because they wanted to leave with the 26 million, which they were not even worthy of receiving. The agreement with PSG was in place long before. Dani Alves himself confirmed that in his interview. But they chose to remain silent all along. It is the manner in which he left that the club and fanbase are unhappy about. I'm sorry but you seem to be some sort of an apologist for Neymar or you do not clearly understand the situation.

That's unfair. He also created lots of chances to score for suarez, and Messi. And all three had their fair share of tap ins.

People are angry at him, but reading this thread now, it's like he's worse than Lukaku.

It's from Alves' post-match interview last weekend.

Saw this translation elsewhere in a different forum.

(I can't hear the journalists properly but it's something to do with Neymar)

"Well, the season will depend on what we do throughout it. Starting well is important becasue when you transition from one place to another there's normaly a bit of difficulty with adapting to the new place, the new team mates, even though here (PSG) there's a pretty good base because I knew people here very well, and that makes my job much easier. I'm reaping what I sow throughout the week, because games are a consequence of your dedication, what you make during the week, so I'm very happy for being able to help the team win the title (The Supercup), the game today, and keep working because this is just the begining.

(Second question: Did you have any influence in Neymar's decision to leave?)

"No,no, on the contrary, he was the one that influenced me to come here! People think Neymar is still a child, an 18 or 20 year old teen that still has doubts when it comes to making decisions, the child grows up, the teen grows up, he's a man now and he made a decision, and men shouldn't be afraid of challenges, they must be brave! I talked to him, I send him a text saying "Life belongs to the brave" and I believe he's brave, he wants more than playing for a team, he wants challenges, like me, those are the things that move us and keep us alive. I'm very happy, I can't hide it, that he's here with us, he's going to help a lot, he will improve our chances of fighting for big competitions, and he strenghtens the team.

(Third question: It's a very brazilian team, isn't it?)

"It's always important to have that brazilian group (or if translated literaly, brazilian clan). All the clubs I've been to had our group (I'm not sure if he's refering to brazilians here). I missed him because we lived incredible moments in Barcelona with him, so I missed him and I'm sure he missed me, so we decided to stop missing each other and get back together, and I hope our partnership can help PSG."

(Forth question. Do you think it will be easier for him to be the best in the world here far away from Messi?)

"I believe this year, especialy because it's World Cup year, that's gonna have a lot of weight (The World Cup), but evidently, when you compete against them it's easier to show your qualities, and they (qualities) grow a bit, their better seen, because the focus isn't divided. Neymar without a doubt will have as much impact here as Messi has in Barcelona, and that increases his chances to fight for big prizes, but he knows he has to do his part for that to happen, we won't make him forget it."

(Fifth question: Is the fact that lots of brazilians are playing in the same team a good thing for the national team?)

"It undoubtedly helps but it doesn't have a lot of influence because (No idea what he says, perhaps he's talking about Brazil's manager) already knows we're capable to perform for the NT, so it's important for us, because it creates a good enviroment"

That's not what Alves said. Neymar has clearly been in talks with psg for ages, and the story that ney sr pushed for the move after barca refused to pay the 26m is utter bullshit from this miserable shithead. But he didn't confirm to anyone because he truly hadn't taken his decision, even if some of his smarter friends probably already knew before ney himself.

I agree. Bartomeu is a clown. I don't like his head. He is an hypocrite, he tried the same with many players. I remember what he did to get Neymar before Real... It costs to Barca a lot of money with his father. This is the game.

It's actually pretty normal in football, even manager games include this in their algorithms. They are all professionals but it's important that these players feel good where they are, meaning having a good social network, their families and kids taken care of. It's not being a manchild, it's being human. In case of Neymar, I think it was important that he got along with Messi and Suarez, this helped the team.

I wouldn't really focus on what's being said right now, because a lot of it will be some PR bullshit. Instead, check out some of the interviews in a couple of months or even years, than we'll know much more.

I mean someone should tell him he completely fucked us over. Our transfer window, even without Barto and company, would be fucked this way, let alone with them.

I can underestand people are angry on Neymar. But the first responsible is Barto. He didn't anticipate the move whereas last year he was already close to sign for Paris.
