Absolutely all my "neutral" friends enjoy the MSN version of Barca considerably more than Peps Barca and i totally understand them because at times under Pep our game was absolutely mindblowingly boring. Passing around 20 mins in a row never shooting unless you are at a goal-line etc
No neutral fan would enjoy it. With MSN it has been at times much more straightforward and fun and Neymar plays big part in this.

So small quiz.
Which player has most key passes per game in La Liga this season?
Which player has most successful dribbles per game in La Liga this season?
Which player has been fouled most per game in La Liga this season?

I mean i understand at times why people expect more from him, but our gameplan nowadays is get ball from defense to attack as soon as possible.
Person who gets that ball 90% of cases is Neymar. He is absolutely vital in our gameplan and he is one of the best in what he is suppose to do, run against defenders, create changes and be constant danger.

And no, i am not a fanboy of any player, i just like the team and support whoever plays for it.

Fouls and dribbles mean nothing. Messi's dribbles lead up to something for the team whereas Ney's are mostly sideways or showboating. Also, Neymar needs to release ball earlier. If he did that, he's get fouled less and make our transition faster.

Neymar has done well to help with assists though and his defensive contribution has been on a high level.

Need to get his goalscoring back. If he can get that back, he is good to go.

He's taking less touches now than he did a couple of months ago IMO, and not ball hogging as much, and working hard off the ball, but his finishing is very frustrating to watch, and it's not just that. It's like he lost all his confidence in front of goal. Constantly making poor decisions, not shooting first time, shooting first time when he shouldn't, just doing some strange things.

Always a danger with the ball going forward, but to reach that level he's showed previously he need to get some consistency and just make better decisions.

He is a constant danger on that flank, and his dribbling is at an excellent level right now. I think barring Messi, there's nobody in world football I'd rather have in a 1v1 against a defender. It's almost like they don't even stand a chance.

I think he will score against PSG.(once Messi babysits him into a goal :messi: )

The gameplan sucks. And key passes are really a metric best forgotten about. Comparing his dribbles with Messi's show the enormous difference in terms of decision-making.

Neymar has an important role and it's precisely why it's frustrating, and we can more or less thank Lucho for that.
