Neymar Jr. - v5

Barça fanz worldwide, maybe. In Catalunya? From what I've read from them in social media and the reports I've read I feel they already do.

He'll try to leave again, His father doesn't want to see his son end his career player as Messi's assistant. I'm just not sure if it wont be Barça trying to dump him.

Who knows? We'll see.

fair point. i guess we'll see how the Catalans feel in the Supercopa against madrid. if the PSG deal goes through and Neymar refuses it to stay that could sway the opinion back in Barcelona.

I'm not sure he will be in Messi's shadow that much longer. Messi will always be the goat but Messi isn't like Cristiano wanting all the glory for himself, he's a team player and i don't think he'd begrudge Neymar winning a Ballon d'or. from the rumours apperantly Messi had a strong hand in persuading him to stay also. i wouldn't be suprised if Barca give Neymar more prominence after this fiasco as our board are pretty weak and pathetic.

I think Pini Zanavi and PSG completed the financial package:

And Neymar's contract is ready:

A couple thoughts:

- People are overestimating how big of a deterrent FFP is in Neymar's purchase. You can spend at a loss for one summer, but by year three your books have to be balanced.

- PSG is looking to purchase through a 3rd party not because they cant afford Neymar without it(they have 220m euro spending limit), but because it will make it easier for them to fill out the rest of the roster.

- Even if Neymar is bought at a loss, PSG has players they can sell to balance the books

Imo it will be established in the next day or two whether Neymar is staying or going.

You seem confident on this but I've read multiple times that the Salary and the Bonuses go into that sum too. I feel taxes too, but there I'm not sure. Considering all of this plus the private jet + participation in business (does this count for the FFP rules? It should), I've read PSG would spent around 650m on that transaction. That's why they were working on using 3rd parties.

Lol. He definitely needs to speak so that this saga can end, it's dragging too long now. When Pique posted that picture I was really confident but it can be PSG or barça.

Anyone think that IF the board have secured Neymar they are waiting till later tonight/tomorrow to drown out the news from Benedito's vote of no confidence dates?

I'm not confident at all, don't know what will happen with Neymar, just know PSG can afford to bring him without violating FFP. That said, I'm unsure about taxes but the salary is spread out through the duration of the contract. The only thing paid up front is the release clause, but PSG has discovered away to finance the deal jointly with a Qatari company(not sure which) to ease that aspect of the deal.

I'm sorry, you can't just easily avoid the FFP. There is a reason why no other club has even tried it. If 3rd party agreements would work everyone would be doing them, if PSG wants to cross the FFP and buy Neymar they will get 1-2 year ban from CL but they will have Ney.

No, everyone wouldn't be doing it because you still have to convince the player on top of carrying the necessary revenue to fit his wage demands. You also have to find an entity willing to give you a 220m euro loan, which only a few clubs can.

PSG isn't run by idiots, that much should be clear by how Qatar is handling the crisis in the Gulf. They and their lawyers wouldn't have continued pushing through with the deal if they believed they didn't have the resources to finance the move without being punished by UEFA.

According to Barca it isn't finished at all:

http://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbo...4356948391/fc-barcelona-neymar-pronuncie.html

Barca board wanted him to kill the rumors after morning training based off the photo with Pique. He did not.

And he will never do that in a way they want. By staying quiet he leaves the door open for the next year.

No to mention that he can't do that now when he decided to be quiet for so long. He'll speak up when Barca returns to Spain but I believe he will say something neutral like Verratti did.

IMHO it's 100% clear he is staying. And those articles are just for selling papers nothing more, nothing less. How the fuck can ayone know what has he told to Messi or Suarez or to Barto. Minimum 90% of those articles are made up.

Just imagine how much money was earn by warious portals and accounts just from clicking because of this PSG shitstorm.
