I wouldn't adopt any sense of hope that Neymar Sr meeting with Robert is by any means good news for us.

If I were to guess, I'd say he's the one who is communicating on behalf of Neymar and PSG in this transfer to Barca.

As xXKonan said, why would we even entertain the notion of negotiating, let alone hold multiple meetings about it?

I wouldn't adopt any sense of hope that Neymar Sr meeting with Robert is by any means good news for us.

If I were to guess, I'd say he's the one who is communicating on behalf of Neymar and PSG in this transfer to Barca.

If they intend to pay his realise clause, there should be little communication with the club about it. Transfer the 222m and be done with it.

Again, I'm not saying that this is necessarily the case, but I think it's foolish close the door to any of the opportunities yet.

If they just pay Neymar 222M to let him release his contract, it would be considered as a wage by the French fisc and PSG would have to pay about a 100 M tax. So, they rather pay 250 or 260 M to Barça and pay no tax.

That's why the Barça board might be interested, it would be a win-win situation for both clubs, only loser would be the French fisc.

I'm sure there would be some hefty paperwork on Barca's end for the termination of Neymar's contract as well as some documentation that might be required by PSG.

But yes, certainly anything is possible as this saga has been taking turn after turn.

Barca don't want to make anything easier for PSG, and why would they when the flat out refused to even discuss over Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Verratti. 222 million upfront deposited at the league offices is the only way he moves.

Neymar is playing with fire in this case. Cules might turn on him for how he treated the club. He's trying to avoid that by only commenting on the transfer to PSG once it's done. But he doesn't know that not denying it is the same shit. If he's not gone before the team gets back to Barcelona he will get the heat.
