31 is young but he declined so fast (probably because of injuries), if you look at the seasons he has gone worse every since 18/19.

In 19/20 he was finally declined, way slower and could not dribble and finish like he could once. He had some top matches like against Bayern in 2021 when you saw the old Ney but very rarely.

In Brazil he had more often top matches, dont know why, maybe his team mates help him also but overall he declined soo fast. Thats why i can understand why he chose Saudi.
