I have no idea why nobody is factoring in the 26m saving Barca will make if they sign Ney as he will drop the case next month against us - a case we would almost certainly lose. All those painting him as a full blown cunt need to realise he is prepared to give up 26m to come here.

1. If we don't buy him=we will lose 26m to Neymar
2. If we sign him, we will spend 600m over 5 years (200m transfer fee+80m gross wages), and we will win 26m from him.

So:
1. Should we lose 26m
2. Or lose 574m on an injured problematic backstabber whom we don't need?

Losing 26m versus losing 574m?

Also all these figures of 180m plus are absolute bullshit. The board are doing the right thing - trying to buy Ney cheap due to the extraordinary circumstances.

I believe the max they will offer in cash is 150m, taking in the 26m saving, our effective maximum offer is 124m, which is a bargain, even with his dodgy injury record.

Both of you go for extremes here.

We will not offer 150m and save 26m thus making it 124m and we will not lose 600m (WTF man, 5 year span? too many unknown variables there and a huge simplification).

If any of the stuff we' been hearing has any truth, we would spend around 220m for him. I think it's too much.
The part that we don't need a winger, I disagree, since Dembele will not make it.

Transfer fee=around 200m, this or that way.
Neymar's yearly wage=40m net
That is around=80m gross.
Neymar won't sign a 2 years deal.
He asked for a 5 years deal.

So, if we pay 200m transfer fee and pay 80m yearly gross wages, without signing contract extensions and without unknown bonuses and addons based on his individual performances, we will invest around 600m Euros in "project Neymar" to have him here for 5 years.

Now, if you buy Neymar, where will Griezz play?
Not at a LW since Neymar will play there.
Griezz can play as a 9, where he will probably suck, based on things which we have seen till now.
Dembele sucks, but still, he is here.
Where will this 145m (+wages) investment play?

So, by buying Neymar:
1. We are investing 600m Euros in a player whom we don't need at all
2. And we are benching 2 guys whom we have paid 120+145m.
And who have 20m and 12m net wages iirc.
Which means, you are benching two guys on whom we have spent 265m transfer fees, and who cost 40+24=64m yearly on gross wages.

All in all, tactical, financial and moral suicide if we want to bring Neycheater Junior.

With all these crazy teansfer fees and wages, you should realize that we won't have money for new no9, a RB, an attacking minded midfielder or new wingers.
We will be stuck with granny attack Ney-Griezz-Messi for years.
Without a proper No9.
Without a presence in a box.
Without an option B in attack.

I mean, yes, let's invest 600m Euros in a project Neymar and ruin our club financially for the next 10 years.
Yet, results will we be the same.
Or very likely, even worse than now.

All that is true, provided he is utter garbage though. I am not Neymar's supporter, but he is not garbage. He is a brilliant footballer. His style may not be your cup of tea but denying his abilities is only based on pure biased hatred and nothing more.

What we should add to calculations like this, is return of investment. Here you assume absolutely zero return in all departments.
That is not realistic, except if recurring serious injuries happen and he never touches a football. That last part is the reason I am against his signing. But if swapped for Dembele, he is an instant upgrade.
