I feel by him coming out with this now and saying they want to sell Neymar and he only wants Barcelona that the deal will definitely get done. They also know Neymar is hated by the PSG fans now. Also, they would like the cash to replace him and get his wages off the books.
Why make a public statement like that if this wasn't the case? As someone else said, I think it's to put pressure on Barcelona.

Obviously they want to sell him. They haven't played him in 3 games already. They want him out badly but not for cheap price.
It's fair enough from them. But there's no way back for Neymar now. You can't have a player on your team that's hated by the fans and who has told you he only wants to play for Barcelona.
Are they literally going to sit out a player who is on like 35m euros a year? That sounds pretty stupid to me.

And they're winning games without him. There's no way their welcome would be supportive of him waltzing straight back into the team. And you simply do not bench Neymar.
All of that at the cost of 60 mil gross a season.

Exactly. There's only 3 reasons why they would sell Neymar:
1. Some huge drama happened behind closed doors
2. Neymars injuries are bad
3. Both
Which one it is? Either way. We shouldn't be very happy buying Neymar. Something happened but we don't know what. Why is PSG eager to sell him? 🤔🤔🤔

That's absolutely not true. Only few idiots (manipulated in a famous ultra section) are against. He is really appreciated and a large part of people who follows football and Paris really like him.
By the way he doesn't make a public statement because it won't help him as said previously. It is the worst idea. Everybody knows he wants to join Barca. There is no secret. So why put a gun on his head, when he has now more chance to stay.
This was and still is my understanding of the situation.

Won't happen to PSGs valuation of 210m. Barca can wait until January if they have to, or simply move on to other targets.
