as for Neymar, i think he'll stay another season in Paris with some kind of deal in place and then join Barca next summer.
No idea for how long Neymar stays in Paris, but his path back to Barcelona is sealed
once and forever.
He will never return.
- If he plays well for PSG and remains injury-free, next summer PSG will ask at least 400 millions for him. Their minds work like that.
- If he plays badly or injured for a longer period, Barca will never ever spend any money on him.
It's a catch-22, this was the real but
last chance for his return.
I don't for a second believe Barca was serious about buying him back. The entire Barca show was anything but genuine, it was like a cheap school-play with some costumes to please Messi and that's it.
Barca's very late offers were ridiculous, PSG were right about that. The players Barca wanted to get rid off weren't even asked, specially that PSG was quite strict about getting money and not the dead-weight players of Barca.
Barto said Dembele is better than Neymar, he didn't participate in any negotiations (that would have been the acceptable MINIMUM if we talk about the most expensive player on Earth), probably he just sent the 'inocent' delegation there once to do "something" in case PSG agrees on a very low amount.
Hence Barca had
no serious intentions to get Neymar back, it is absolutely clear.
When it became public that Neymar does not want to go
anywhere else but to Barcelona, they actually got what they wanted, and it was time to make bad offers, just to keep the news alive and more importantly to avoid Neymar going to Madrid or any other club.
PSG perhaps wanted to sell, but for an amount that they knew nobody will ever pay.
Barca did not actually want to buy, so it was a
pseudo-interest, knowingly timed to the last moments, when others can not interfere anymore.
The only POSITIVE figure in the cast was Neymar HIMSELF by wanting only Barca and even more importantly offering his own money, which equals to playing FREE for a year.
I understand that the haters - specifically the football-history and math-wizard @BBZ - are very happy now, they got what they wanted but as a matter of fact Barca just simply lost its greatest opportunity forever to put back things to the right path, having not only one but two real geniuses in its attacking row.
It's sad that actually Neymar was the sole SINCERE participant in this drama but the rest of the actors just played their dirty roles, as usually.
Neymar will be RIGHT if he signs for Madrid or any other club, but this club - that he stupidly and childishly left one day, what he shouldn't have done - simply had its bad and cheap revenge on him.
The club is simply lying, they bought Griezmann when Neymar's intentions were clear for almost two months.
Barca NEVER wanted him back, it was a bad potemkin-drama.
Shame.
