Neymar was very good yesterday as he was 90 min dangerous for Atalanta. They didnt know how to stop him. He could have been excellent if he would have scored these chances. By the way he gave the assist for the 1-1 and the pre-assist for the 2-1 so how can anyone say he wasnt good or even trash yesterday.

You may hate him, hate PSG, but he is great player...16 dribbles yesterday, woow, he carries the team, fights, pushes on.

Biggest difference between Messi and Neymar has always been effiency and maybe fitness/durability imo.

Neyamr never outperformed his expected goals in La Liga while Leo has done that in 15 of his 16 seasons, sometimes by huge margins.

So people saying he usually burries the chances he missed last night, stats don't confirm that.

Neymar vs Atalanta:
16 sucessfull dribblings
25 won duel
5 created Chances
1 Assist
1 Pre Assist

Our team would need 4 matches to show the same number of dribblings (without Messi).

I can remember several big misses that cost us because of this cunt's weak shots or terrible placement. it's not an "unlucky" thing at all.

surely everyone still remembers this miss

anyways, the real Neymar will be ball-hogging his way back to Keylor Navas when he faces Atletico and this wankfest will be over soon

Well every player misses chances. Ronaldo, Immobile, Kane, Aguero, Suarez, Mbappe and especially Lewandowski often misses huge opportunities.

Carried his team. In this unique version of the CL PSG will be hard to beat if Verratti-Neymar-Mbappe (+Choping) are on their game. Atalanta left their balls in Italy with the format change it must be noted though. I doubt Atl and Leipzig will be so timid.

Verratti is a liability in big games, PSG will do ok without him.

What I don't understand is people automatically assuming Ney staying meant more CL titles. It's a possibility but not very likely. We had a younger/stronger Messi (who scored 50 goals in 16/17) and a younger Ney and still got clapped away from home by the likes of City, PSG, and Juve. They both stepped in each other's way that season IMO with less than efficient styles of play.

If you tell me we could have kept 14/15 or even first half of 15/16 Ney all these years, we win the 18/19 CL for sure and maybe even the 17/18 one. But the player he is today can't coexist with Messi IMO. It's one or the other.

And as you saw before Mbappe came on, Ney can't do it by himself either (creating + scoring). So, we'd need to find an explosive, vertical forward to complement his game style if we built around him instead of Messi. Ironically enough, Messi would benefit from this too.

You really think Atletico can stop Neymar? Especially with Mbappe, DiMaria and possibly Verratti back?

Lmao! I would be worrying about us vs Bayern if I were you.
