There are rumours going around saying we might pick him up for free next season if he doesn't sign a new contract with PSG.

Hard pass for me. He'll demand a big signing-on fee and a salary more or close to Griezmann's. Not to mention, he'll be 30 and is injury-prone.

Yeah let's wait another year to buy 30 year old, past his prime Neymar

It's actually quite insane that he is almost as old as Messi was when he left.

He's still a good player I guess and an instant upgrade compared to Dembele,Griezmann and Coutinho. That said he didn't live up to the hype, especially during his tenure in PSG. He had a good run last year in the CL but the opponents were too easy and in the final he was atrocious.

Furthermore, putting aside the financial parameters, he could be detrimental to the culture we are trying to build on and off the pitch.

Anyways,it will be a big risk from the board to attempt this transfer at this point. 34-35 year old Messi and 29-30 year old Neymar aren't going to win the CL.

I would consider him ONLY if:

1)PSG gets no cash,no extra clauses. They get Coutinho and Griezmann or Dembele.

2)Neymar and his father get no ludicrous sign-on fee. Furthermore, his wages have to be logical, considering the times we are living in, the financial situation of the club, his age, his injury history and his treacherous past with the club. Something like 10 M/year maximum.

Such a force, despite not being in his prime. He had almost everything in his toolkit to be a true all time great. Which he still might be with a CL with PSG. But still wasted a lot of good years.

Its very unlikely he will ever be considered an all time great, he's wasted way too much of his career imo.
