Take on success rate of 88% this season

Progressive carriers and takes ons 90%.

In the EL all those numbers increase.

For the entire year those 3 are all 95%+.

So something isn't adding up.
You're reading it wrong. He's in the 88th percentile, meaning he has more successful dribbles than 88% of the players he's compared to.

If you look at % of successful takeons he is only in 26th percentile.

If that's what we are looking at Successful take on percentage is 26%. this season, Vini Jr 41%.

365 days, he's at 40%, same as Vini and yamal.

Yamal is at 50% this season, which he's on his way to becoming the goat.

Nico is 14% below his average, but like I said he's having a off season so far, still only a few players in la Liga ahead of him.

So hea nothing really changes as it relates to my point, he's matching the best in the league in successful dribbles and successful % take ons the last 365 days and having a down year at the start of this season.

Percentile, not percent.
You misread the data. Percentile here means he is in the top 12% of successful dribbles (not successful % percent)
Which no one is disputing, he is high volume dribbler. No one has 88% take ons. Maybe a defender who attempts one every blue moon.

Yea even in (successful % percent) he's matching the best in the league for this year, as I posted above.

Anyways you wanna slice it, he's elite at it.

You asked for 1, I gave you 4.
Except that I wouldn't agree Nico has anything over Leao on the other 3, but it's ok. It is true that lack of atittude can indeed neutralize a lot of what a certain player can do on the pitch and how much he's willing to show. But if Leao goes to a slightly better and more ambitious club, I reckon his attitude problems will quickly be fixed and then he would go on to prove his true worth. If not, then it will stay like this and Nico will go down as the better player. But I don't think as a footballer Nico has anything over Leao and I probably never will. Also should be noted I like Nico as a footballer so this doesn't look like an agenda on him. I just think Rafa is much better.

You're welcome
Nico’s range of spots from where he decides to dribble is 1/5th of players mentioned. Should also look at that.

pls don’t compare nico dribbling to that of vini or yamal. offensive stuff lol

We have a lot of players who can provide the pass, we need someone to provide the off-the-ball movement (like a Raphinha)

From the very few games that I watched both Nico and Leao, Nico seems to provide more of this trait than Leao does (Could totally be wrong for this).

It's not a matter of who is the better footballer, but more of who is the player that suits our needs the best.

It is 38% this season in Liga.
26 is percentile, not percentage. It means that he is only better than 26% of players/forwards (depends on which Andresito is quoting) in dribble success.
That is actually atrocious.

For the record, I don't think he is a bad dribbler, what I said is "not top notch". If someone is going to use accumulative state to show he is good dribbler, he is the one who is using wrong stats.

Eye test supports the numbers btw. Nico successful dribbles tends to be in wider space rather than in tight areas.

you keep trying to move the goal post, lol.

You thought the stats proved you right just now, when what's his name mentioned it, then I pointed out for the entire year, he is infact as good in take ons, as the initial numbers suggested.

Now you're flip flopping all over the place.

You were wrong the man can dribble like the best in the league and Europe, different does not mean deficient.

Watch the Euros and watch Barca. Which do you prefer with Laminey, Nico or Raphinha? I'd say that this season we can see that Raphinha offers much much more.

Now no one is doubting that for 60m you won't find a better option for rotation, seeling as someone like Leao (who probably wouldn't come to rotate but to start) would cost more.

Ideally though we should be able to have someone who will have less cap space than Nico for the third wheel on the wing spot. Think Luis Diaz when Liverpool signed him who cost 50m but is criminally underpaid. While Nico will be 60m + a wage of 12m+ considering what he is on at Bilbao.

It is literally the opposite.
He attempts too much dribbles, and fails in high rate, but number of successful dribbles is high because of high number of attempts.
His success rate of dribble is bad, as said above, almost 3 quarters of players/forwards have better dribble success rate

What's his success rate at dribbles compared to Vini?. For this season and the entire year.

Let's compare him to the best best.

Since you understand the stats.
