The ego of our board probably thought that we can easily get 1:1 and get both, so they went all in for Olmo only for to not get 1:1 and for the Nico transfer to fail. Seen that before at this club and doesn't give much hope. We will be likely left with no LW and yet another #10.
But that said, I hope I'm wrong.

This morning, we had a red sunrise and now a blue sky. It probably means Nico told god he'll join barca, so he celebrates today with our colors.
I also saw a bird flying south-east right now. That could be a message to Nico which direction he should take when leaving Bilbao.

With him costing more on books that Olmo they have chosen to sign Olmo now to make sure dont lose out on both.
Can take a bit more time waiting to work the finances for Nico now and worst case scenario try to secure him in a year if the yes does not hold or cant work it in the books.
There is no way all things being equal they have chosen Olmo over Nico.
Think they have handled this not as badly as made out and minimised the risks of ending up with neither of their targets.
