Someone called Nico a genius 😆.

He is far from that. Marmoush is m7ch, much better than this clown.
However, I expect Laporta to do a Barto and go for Nico.

Even if he was all that (which he is far from) we possibly create another amigos situation with Lamine and Nico.
Not worth it.

Money is tight and we need a full-back and a striker first and foremost.

Casados and Raphinhas are profiles to look for. Or a proper genius/superstar which Nico is not.

When Leao is at his best he's a game changer. Can dribble through an entire defence on his own and score or deliver an assist.

Inconsistency and whether he's truly motivated to be elite is the issue with him. Not talent. Not saying we should absolutely sign him, but if we're going to spend a lot of money on a winger I hope it's someone who can be productive and change a game on his own individually rather than someone who is dependent on the system/collective.
Where was this gamechanger at the euros? So much talk as if this dude was Messi on the wing.

Gamechanger against Sassuolo when you conveniently ignore all the other players doing just as well or better? Please stop watching twatter compilations of footballers.

Says a lot about some Barca fans that they prefer this railroad player over Raphinha. Maybe they prefer watching track and field?

I don't prefer Nico/Leao to Raphinha, we need both. Firstly for rotation in attack where the depth is Segunda level but also to play Raphinha as a 10 since Olmo is always injured, Pedri is better deeper and Fermin is not really good enough. I'm sure Yamal, Rapha and the new winger would play a lot together.

I agree with this. Leao has massive upside. Nico a bit more limited.

Nico would be still great backup but not sure if we have money for that.

Have to go for who has the right mentality and ability.

Few would have retained Raphi in summer to be at AML. Look at his season under Flick.

Nobody wanted Deco target Luis Diaz. Look at his performances under Slot.

We need to find someone like that. Could it be Leao or Nico who becomes a machine under the right setup?

For me, Nico is great but he seems he seems to have enjoyed the cueca, the blondes and the post Euros popularity a bit too much.

One thing I want to say, there is a lot to criticise Nico for, but his iq isn't one of them.

If anything, he is a smart winger who knows where to be and what to do.
He is actually a bit limited on the ball, his dribbling isn't top notch and so is his finishing.

Many if his decisions are based on him knowing his limitations.

How the Sporting Department deal with Nico will tell a lot about how much we can trust them in the future. Will they dig their heels in and be stubborn and say Nico y nada mas? Or will they show they are flexible and willing to improvise and look elsewhere?

All the signs point to Nico and Leao being massively overrated and not worth the money required to get them. If we fork out upwards of 70m for either of them then it will show that this Sporting Department has remained in the Special Olympics and it would be for the better that we remained 'broke' for the forseeable future.

Mhm. His dribbling is very cumbersome and clumsy, he moves like a 6'4 CB.

I was half joking 😭

On a serious note I think his dribbling is quite poor. He is a bit stiff on the ball and his dribbling isn't fluid.

Yeah, he is a bit of an athlete rather than a guy who knows how to toy with the ball. His dribbling is basic and his delivery isn't that good.

But he knows his limits and doesn't force the issue, this allows him to be fairly productive

If there is one thing valvalre will do, is making gifted players looking kind Meh, like his football.

Nico will crush under flick like he does for Spain.

We have raphinha has the player who can play across the front line.

Nico
Yamal.
Raphinha
Olmo.

Nice rotation right there.
