Sometimes it takes about 1 minute to figure out a player is gonna be awesome. Oliver is one of those players.
How much would he cost? Bringing him in would ease the pain..

Barca should go after him, he is the perfect replacement for Xavi. 22-24 M is not that much for his talent. He will become a worldclass midfielder in few years.

Although the loss of Thiago was tragic, there is some serious over reaction here. Come on people, let Atletico have him for a few years. He is the same age as Sergi Samper who could yet do great things with Barca. This past year we have complained about the declining trust in our academy so I don't see why we should go and buy this guy when we have such a talent as Samper in the cantera. Atletico will never sell him to Madrid and I doubt he would be in any rush to go there so if he was to leave in a few years time then I can see us being favorites. The best thing for his career now is to play regularly with Atletico for a few years and develop as a player. Losing Thiago was a huge blow but midfield isn't a major concern for us considering what we have at the moment and what we have coming through the ranks in Samper. Lets see how Torres and Samper develop over the next few years and then assess the situation.

How can you compare the 2? Torres was one the best players in the WC under-20. Where was Samper? Playing PES?

Atletico can easily get him a new contract after this great performances and increase the buy-out to unreachable amounts.
