Oriol Romeu (loaned to Girona)

Put Roberto there for fuck sake. At least he started his career as a defensive midcfielder. Roberto is shit we know but oreo is a whole another level type of shit. We cannot be serious playing this guy as a starter or substitute unless we are winning 3 0 and wanna rest someone.

In 4 midfielders system he looked decent but in 4-3-3 this guy is just horrific. Now without De Jong we are in a deep shit with this guy playing as our only DM. I agree that Roberto would probably be a better solution or at least less horrible.

With him they did also and could have scored 3 in first half.

Nowhere near good enough and zero 'pros' come from midfielders still being poor positionally when there instead of him.

This guy hampers our attack. Everytime he goes out of the game the team becomes much more dangerous. His defense is just ok at best as well. 3.4m signing it is what it is

With FDJ out, spotlight will be on this guy.

He's the only one Xavi will play at DM now(unless he opts for a kid).

Whether he's a good transfer, we'll know within the next 2 months.

He is, only fools expected a WC player for 3.5m nor was one promised.

He's a stop gap, much like brozovic or amrabat would have been, not saying he's as good as brozovic obviously.

He's been good for us doing the defensive side of the game, he's obviously no busquets with his passing.

He'll be fine & has been fine.

Haha folk claimed 'we got the DM' that folk claimed team needed and would have a good season..

Usual nonsense.

Now changed to.. 'no one claimed he was WC'.

Usual.

Has not been good defensively. Far too slow in transitions.

Far from 'fine' he just looks nowhere near good enough or the DM team needs to point folk now saying FDJ is the go to DM.. same folk who claimed he can never play there.

The sub went from Romeu who was poor defensively and had no quality on ball to two others that were poor defensively that have more quality on ball as had to take that risk.

Unless the game is wide open and the opposing team isn't targeting him you won't get anything out of him with the ball and often gets ran over on the counter as well.

Celta basically let him have the ball because they knew he wouldn't do anything with it. He slowed everything down and passed it back or sideways.
