Don't look forward trying to negotiate his renewal with Moussa Sissoko again.

Wouldn't be surprised if he'd try to run down his contract again.

His contract has to be improved cause he currently earns within Fati and Raphinha's range. He should also get good offers though so we could easily sell him for 100m and above to an EPL team if we don't wanna increase his salary.

Contract until 2024, forgot about 100mil.

He will wait until contract is over and get massie salary.

But he deserves better salary, if he earns as Fati and Rapinha.

The French media were reporting last summer that Dembeles contract has a 50m release in the summer and he gets 50% of that.

Where was that refuted?

You think he has 100m clause in summer that he doesnt get a % of?

His release clause will be 100m still, don't know about the % he gets but it's probably 50%, yes. Otherwise, Barca would be freaking out right now and trying to renew. Laporta or someone from the board only recently said they're not in a hurry to renew him because he just signed a new deal, so I think they'll start negotiating in the summer.

They are not in a position to negotiate an increased contract now anyway wouldnt think.

Clearly they will negotiate in summer either way.

Yeah, I've seen that reported by French media too but who knows what's true.

50% from 100m is obviously better than 50% from 50m for both sides but OTOH it's much more likely that a team would pay 50m for him than twice as much.

Would really suck if in the end he'd decide to leave and we'd only keep 25m from his transfer. Better than nothing last year but not enough based on how important he has become for the team.
