To be fair to him he has been one of our best performers all season.

Not sure about the release clause, would bet it's 100m. But it must be that he gets 50% of any fee. Otherwise Barca could just tell an interested club to bid 99m and thus get the whole sum while saving the buying club a mil.
But he remains a priority to renew, after the obvious new contract registrations for Gavi and Araujo who have been waiting patiently.

I want to play down his performance last night somehow (for jinx reasons) and I simply can't. Monster!
There's something else - lately it seems Dembouz has outgrown the shyness and acts like a leader. No longer fooling around on the pitch. His WC final game was the last poor display.
Xavi's methods on mental preparation are giving fruits. Small steps, but step by step Barca are climbing the ladder.

All French players were poor in that WC final until 2nd half ending. Subbing out Giroud and Dembele early on was cause the France coach had to take action else they were all horrible in that 1st half, including the likes of Griezmann and Mbappe.
He needs to bring his A game against Utd though as that would be tough. I wish Cr7 was still playing for them as he kinda made them weaker and easier to beat

Yeah, masterclass against United would really be a turning point for him. Can't complain after his performance last night, but still has work to do.
It's 100m with Dembele receiving 50%. But Barcelona receive a min of 50m of any transfer. So If Dembele wanted to go to PSG (example) and they agreed 70m, thenBarca take 50m and Dembele 20m.
Remember the buyout clause is technically Dembele buying out his own contract. So he would be foregoing a % of what he pays himself. In layman terms.

Players get the money from the other clubs to buy out contract. Dembele wouldnt be giving anything up.
