He did some good that's for sure. If he could just stop losing possession carelessly, and in dangerous spots.

Be objective guys.
Dembele created two clear chances in 3 minutes, something that the team couldn't create in the first half. Not even one, apart from the corner.

He lost possession three times, dangerous spots or not, irrelevant, because attackers are supposed to lose the ball sometimes.
Messi lost 6 balls in the first half and I don't even mention Suarez, who is actually losing all balls sent to him.

Try to notice what is good or promising, if Messi "had the right" to be rusty after 5 weeks out, Dembele has the same rights to be a bit rusty.

Approach him from the positive angle and not continuously from the unimportant mistakes that all Barca players comit.
Seeing him again on the pitch (specially with Fati) smelt like like fresh air in a lavatory.

You're welcome
At face value he looked bad, but then considering its his first game aftrr a long absence and he created some big chances it was a decent performance. Still convinced we need his pace against certain opposition after he regains game rhythym.

Him being easily dispossed is a result of him not having played in a while. When in form he has showed he’s strong on the ball. What will break him or make him this season is whether he will get injured or not.

agree -was good performance yesterday.... if he gets more minutes on the field, he could finally deliver what Barca paid for. given Messi is insured again  Getafe is a good candidate to build up confidence (actually for the whole team)....

Again, I saw at least 5 episodes where De Jong was waiting for him to run in behind but he was standing there. Needs to run in behind with that pace.

I also saw times where he was setting to make runs behind the defense and the ball was never delivered are did you miss those?.

Vs Villareal is meaningless, impossible to judge.

Let's hope he stays healthy for a some months.
Let's hope he performs very good in big match, because we spent 140mio for making the difference in important matches, not vs Villareal.

50/50

For every great dribble/pass there was a silly loss of possession. A very Dembele-like cameo. He'll get better with more minutes under his belt, we need his sprinting ability.

Whatever each one of us may believe about him, his pace is astonishing. Shame if he doesn't build on that.

Right but it's not only his pace alone.
He is a rarely born dribbling talent as well, almost as good as Messi is (no coincidence that even Messi has been praising his abilities in interviews).
His problem - compared to Messi - is his height.

His relatively high center of gravity, coupled with quick moves, easily unbalances 3 defenders at the same time, but it also works as an unbalancing factor for himself too, that's when he often losing his balance and screws up his last move or pass.

If he is lucky and stays fit, he can easily become a great factor - even in the present Barca or maybe internationally too.

Good is stretching it. I’d say it was okay.

The max the poor guy can achieve in this forum is an Okay.

Reminds me of the nice comments his haters over-listed about his awful and tragic video-game playing habits.
The forum was in a state of commotion about it.

Just yesterday one of the most read French papers came up with an interview with Mbape, who said his favorite spare-time activity is playing football on his console with his best friend Kurzawa.
In two hours the French forums were filled with comments about how nice it is of him that even if nobody forces him, he still "concentrates" on football during his free hours.

That's the difference.
So an "okay" for Dembelé is actually a great applause in this place.
