Surprised that people are criticizing his performance so much. He just came back from back to back injuries, has had barely any playing time this season, and changes the game for us. Vidal made an immediate impact since Busqueta is useless now, but Dembele was THE threat. Like someone else mentioned, why did we create so many more chances once he came on? Inter feared his pace and shifted 3 players towards him every time he got the ball, making space in the middle. Every time Griezman got the ball out wide, it was a pass backwards. Inter knew that and their formation didnt budge. It's not Griezmans fault either, sticking a player like that far out wide on LW is clueless, absolutely clueless management and poor planning by the sporting director and board.

Dembele did well, a few misplaced passes doesn't change that. And I didn't want him sprinting repeatedly and getting injured again either. He needs time to get healthy, and I want him healthy for the rest of the season, not a few games.

Soo frustrating to see Frenkie and Vidal telling him to run deep and he still just stand there.....

dont wanna derail the thread with Valverde bashing but this is something any decent manager would have worked on with him by now. he literally has no guidance whatsoever and plays as if its his first months at the club. people will call him dumbele and low iq which could be true but if thats the case he needs a manager to take him under his wing even more so

No injury reports but there are rumours circulating that United are considering a move for the player in the winter window - presumably linked to a possible renewed effort for Neymar

Posts like these make me insane.
He did well in his first few minutes, with his attempted shot right over the crossbar. Afterwards he completely lost it.

He was quite literally ramming himself into defenders, and his passes were landing straight at their feet.

Like he'd hold he ball, the opposition would step in, he'd take a second too long to release it.

His attempted dribbles and passes were terrible. Especially his dribbles.

I've seen other players come back from injury before, and they don't play like that. Hell I've seen dembele come back from injury and put in better performances than that.

Plus he's been fit for over a week, he missed the weekend fixture over a precaution

Seriously yes we need his pace but goddamn stop with the excuses, he was shit. He had like two good plays and a god awful amount of shit ones in 30mins. That's an awful performance, not a good one.

Probably because you HATE Dembele, or perhaps because you are insane anyhow.

Too many shits in too few sentences.
He was average but always brought three defenders on himself, so made space in the mid. Had his first shot come 10 cms lower, even you, the known hater, would be silent. He tried far shots, which is admirable, because only Messi and once Busquets have tried something similar in the game.
