Compared to other professions and even some of the other sports, footballers generally have plenty of free time after each match and training daily.
A full busy month with no rest huh?
Tell it to doctors for example haha. It's a piece of cake schedule compared to how busy other professions are TBH.
Also.. it's only a goddamn month..geez!! They even had months of vacation and free time until recently.
There is no need for Ibiza vacation for them to fully recover from physical and mental stress especially after such dreadful results.

Let's be fair, most of our players were under a training schedule during quarantine (at least according to our coach) and they were stuck at home.
Those players now have over 12 months with no vacation, and now is first opportunity for that, if coaching stuff think they need physical rest it is fair they will spend it as they want as long as they come back in shape.

Playing dozen matches in just one month, think about it. Not even mention the team fails to win and full of stress.

A little rest is good

Football is not like most other professions.

Athletes at the highest level cannot train for more than 1-2 hours days and expect optimal results. At some point too much training leads to diminishing returns and can often be counter-productive.

Being a top footballer is more of a lifestyle than just spending 24 hours at the training pitch to show you're the hardest man on the team or you've got the most dedication. Doesn't work that way.

Sleep, nutrition, rest, decompression etc. are just as important as training. After playing a match everyday for a month legs will be tired regardless of the break beforehand and there would be many negative/toxic thoughts in the dressing room.

Giving the lads a week off to recuperate mentally and physically is a good thing.

You're welcome
A short vacation is a good thing. Important is they dont go too long without training as that will disrupt their rhythm. Didnt they go almost a month without training when corona broke out?

Like the rest of the duds at the club he will be in no hurry to go anywhere. Another 2 years of sitting back taking the cash.

Compared to other professions the pressure is enormous. They basically have 90 min where they will be heroes or criticized enormously by fans and media. And this every 3 days.

If anything this rest is great mentally after a disappointing league campaign. Especially for someone like Messi who has pressure like no other human being.

Plus they can have some family time without being locked in their houses.

Will he play in the CL?

Still unclear, my guess is no. Even if he's fit, these upcoming games aren't very suitable for him to play his first minutes after a long term injury.

But then again we'll only have Ansu to throw on when chasing a lead, so he might be desperately rushed.

They all need to retire and enjoy their vacation as much as they want.
Fucking lazy bastards with zero dedication and passion.

Playing every 3 days. A little rest is needed for any professional athlete. You can easily pull an injury especially with vigorous schedule after a long break. People are frustrated i know but don't have to jump on players all the time, like many in this forum like to do or want them to gtfo of this club or make them seem like the only problem in this club. They aren't. They are still part of this mess the club has created, with low morale and years of frustration and pressure they themselves have to deal with on big stages. I don't mind us losing every now and then as a reality check for the club from top to bottom, not just the players. Time is running out. Until we clear out the root of the problem(the board), theres no point being bitter and cussing on the players.
