I meant that he doesn't cleanly control the easy pass that he receives. Had to take a couple of steps to retrieve the ball.

That I see, but that's just him not training hard. Which may be instructed, or standard laziness.
I know man's no self-sustained motivation machine and needs a kick up the arse. But at some point it may be worth laying off him a bit, to let him get a stretch of form and get some money back on him if no other reason.

Super skilled, over analyzing a training video is an exercise in futility. Let's just see if he can manage to stay injury free, that's the ONLY concern with him
