0:00 - receives a ball by the touchline and is immediately enclosed by 3 defenders. manages to weave his way out of trouble but misplaces his pass as his defender who has acres of space in front of him refuses to run into space. potential great play ruined by lack of chemistry, which is understandable in the first preseason game
0:08 - tracks bad and wins the ball back for the team -- good play
0:11 - TERRIBLE pass. that's one you've got one bad possesion.
0:18 - receives the ball, is pressed and is smart enough to reward his team with a foul and new position to reset themselves by forcing the opposing player to make an error. -- not his fault
0:24 - receives the ball from pique, who set him up for failure by not only drawing his defenders to him, but giving it up to him by the touchline. he dribbles it out of bounds (which is the smart play, instead of recklessly passing it up and affording chelsea the opportunity to counter... I mean, what we're you seriously expecting him, or ANY player in the world to do in that situation? you are so weird it's crazy, LOL
0:32 - receives the ball. could run aimlessly like a headless chicken down the flank to whip in a cross, but quickly recognizes that it's griezmann (who is 5"9), swarmed by 5 other white shirts, thus backtracks and allows barca to reset in chelsea's half -- good possession
0:38 - receives the ball. after dribbling sees that nothing is available, so switches the ball to the left hand side of the field -- smart play (or i guess he should just dribble the whole team and score on every possesion, right? hahaha)
0:45 - receives the ball in tight quarters. holds onto it well and lays it off to the midfielder (this must be the "ball control in tight spaces" you were talking about, LOL)
0:48 - receives the ball, demonstrates great touch (as he has throughout this entire highlight video--are you sure you even watched it, LOL?) and lays it off to the open man as he is suddenly swarmed by 3 white shirts
he's then smart enough to continue running into space (something that rakitic REFUSES to do) after he passes and is there to initiate an attacking opportunity at 0:54 -- overall, great play by dembele
1:00 - receives a lofted, diagonal ball and demonstrates that first touch that you've been strangely saying is missing in his arsenal. unfortunately as he weaves inside he misplaces a pass to a midfielder running into the box. still, appreciate the effort to even seek the attacking option (again, something that rakitic NEVER does as it would've been a backpass to the defender instead)
1:09 - receives the ball. great touch again (boy what happened this game?). is intelligent enough to recognize that griezmann is pacing down the flank, so lays it off to the defender in attempt to run into space into the middle of the field, away from griezmann to draw defenders away from that zone of the field. GREAT, smart intelligent play.
1:13 - receives the ball. i would've like to see him attack the defender earlier, but again, he lays it off and doesn't waste the opportunity (as only barca shirt was in the box, in the midst of 5 other defenders--you would've questioned his IQ there if he crossed it)
1:22 - receives the ball. great touch and manages to turn the defender inside out with the feint. speeds inside the field and lays it off to griezmann
1:28 - turns the ball over after being pressed by two defenders. not the worst play, but would've like to see him demonstrate more composure. wow. only the second "bad" play of the game
1:35 - receives the ball on the edge of the box. but UNLIKE rakitic, he doesn't have a 10-15 feet cushion with no defender in sight, so he's immediately apprehended and his strike is blocked. in your weird mind i'm guessing this is a "bad" play right? hahahahahaha
1:38 - receives the ball with his back turned to goal while being engulfed by three white shirts (unlike rakitic, dembele actually invites the pressure if it means presenting his teammate with more passing opportunities, who in this case was umtiti)... he then proceeds to open up his body wonderfully, turn around and deliver a ball to griez. unfortunately it didn't amount to anything because the chelsea backline made their run early to ensure that they weren't going to be beat by griezmann. ANOTHER great play
1:44 - great touch again (where the hell is all this bumbling and stumbling and misplacing the ball out of bounds that you said he suffers from man? i actually watched the game, unlike you, so i just laugh at your posts, but it's a shame to think that somebody as weird as you might actually be convincing someone less privy to your agenda here), dribbles inside but passes back as he sees no attacking options presenting themselves in the final third of the pitch
1:50 - great chest control, followed by great foot control. but in the midst of this isn't aware of his surroundings to gets tackled by a defender who he wasn't aware was waiting to pounce on his second touch
2:03 - he was overthinking this situation. griezmann made an intelligent run that you normally see from the likes of benzema and firmino which was to draw the defender away. dembele picks up on this and assumes that the defender would vacate his position and pick up griezmann, but he doesn't bite and dembele's gamble doesn't pay off. still i respect his hunger in front of the goal as he passes up enough of these opportunities to useful jokers like suarez all season long who put up worse efforts than he did
the final two posessions at 2:09 and 2:15 came at the end of the first half of the teams very first preseason game, so obviously fatigue was a factor (i doubt you know this since you talk like you never kicked a football in your life) and so he has to resort to backpassing since everyone is waiting for the final minute and no longer making any runs.
now weird guy, what on earth was this highlight video supposed to demonstrate aside from your clear lack of footballing knowledge?
maybe the fact that you didn't even watch the match, or worse yet, not even browse through the video that you posted as if it was supposed to be a lowlight video?
he was FAR better than Joao Felix just from looking at the highlight videos (and i watched the game, unlike you), but you were slobbering over him in his thread after he put up a far more mediocre performance.
i don't even know why Potroh even bothers to reply to you as you're clearly a troll, but sadly less funny at winding people than BBZ
