He has a contract until 2022, can sell him in the summer.

yeah but at what price?i doubt we would ask for anything less than 60-70m (realistically even more since it is monumental loss ) and no one in their right mind would pay that when they can wait six more months and get him for even lower price or agree to sign him on free for next season

we won't get more than 60-70m for him even if he had more years left. The covid market is scarce.

His salary is not even all that high so asking for a raise when would get offered more elsewhere is not outrageous at all.

Just whether Barca value him for it and renewing in summer decreases his amortization costs on accounts.

It most certainly is considering his output over the last 3-4 years as well as covid and our financial situation. Does he have the potential to earn more elsewhere? Most probably but we shouldn't be caving into his demands. If anything we should offer him to extend for a year or two at the current rate and then negotiate again after that period. It's a win win for both sides.

Doesn't deserve a raise but will probably get one. Depends on how big this raise is supposed to be. The numbers he's put in this year should have been first season's numbers. He should be on triple this now. If he has a 10% raise then fine because that's what happens with most footballers who stay at their club when they're already on a decent wage. If he's asking for 30%+ more then sell immediately.

He might get a raise in another club only because he's out of contract. Wouldn't mind selling if they offered anything decent.

Last few years are irrelevant. He and Barca will judge it by what can get offered for the next few years and current wages are not high.

Some idea that he should lower wages due to injuries in previous years is fantasy.

You're right it's a fantasy, that's why he should be sold.

He's injury prone and has the end product of a second division player. Sell, or lower his wages by half. No other option should be considered.

Surely it would be both logical and sensible though that the board look at his horrendous injury record of the last few years and make a balanced decision based of what his availability and end product has got them so far.

They will and so to will clubs that offer him a contract but what wont be taken into account is the wages he was on when injured as if that then should mean a discount for Barca.

Do we really wanna sell him for 50m when he cost 130m euros.

Like at least he has pace and is two footed. I say keep or renew with same wages coz who accepts pay cut?

And I am his biggest hater btw so do not call me soft just how shit turned out

Keep him but get a striker who can score goals , we need his pace on the wings . Advise him whenever he is in the box to look for a teammate and not finish himself because he's garbage in that aspect.
