That's something until you realize he carries the ball forward and blasts it into the defender's legs, makes a blind cross, shoots it 30m over the goal or my favorite.....simply loses the ball due to a miscontrol.

It absolutely means something but there’s no point being elite at 1/3 of an attacking move whilst being comically bad at the other 2/3. He’s great at this carrying the ball but terrible at decision making and has terrible finishing/passing technique.

"Eye test" says he does not pass well-> reality says 90th percentile in passing
"eye test" says he does not get in the box enough -> reality says 94th percentile in touches in the box
"eye test" says he can't assist -> reality says 88th percentile in open play xG assisted

Why are his positive carries not progressing into goals/assists?
