People calling others for snowflakes are usually the biggest snowflakes themselves. They explode when someone challenge their views.

Anyway, problem with what Dembele said is how it could affect our sponsorship with Rakuten and other companies which some of you wannabe tough guys don't understand.

Saying black people can't be racist is racist itself.

Snowflakes? Only when their own groups are mocked they stop accusing others of being snowflakes.

I agree, but it's an official policy of progressive world now. Thanks God they removed the Hitler, right? China in comparison is sane country, when looking at the current West.

One begets the other. To defend from constant psychological warfare, the "oppressors" (whites, men, straights etc.) have no choice, but to stoop to the same level, because rational dialogue is impossible in current yer. 30 years ago no one would bat an eye on some silly banter even, if it's offensive to someone. Now this is the central policy problem of entire Western world. Who cares, if the whole economic system gets stolen and civil liberties removed, when people can be riled up against each other in the race war. Social media is also a catalyst of this low grade 'debate'. It pretty obvious by design.

Pardon for derail, but there have been several pages of kneelers tripping over each other to vocally prove how loyal to current establishment ideology they are in this thread already. Just wanted to chime on why it's even happening.

Actually, by saying "black people can't be racist" I believe there are two undercurrents: (1) The belief that black people have always been victims of racism so they can't be racist themselves. Of course this is not true. People of every race, ethnic group can be racist against another race or ethnic group, this is a human characteristic not limited to certain races and groups only. (2) I have seen some people, presumably non-black, saying this and I think their intent was a very racist one: Black people are in the bottom of the barrel so how can they look down upon other people? This is derogatory and total BS of course.

Yes, there's even a term for it - low expectations racism, which is employed by the left. Affirmative action laws came from this ideological undercurrent and it's part of CRT, which is now forced into education system in USA.

(2) is only partially correct.

People are referring to the wide encompassing effects of racism, not individual racism. Black people can induce racial prejudice on others ( physically attacking someone due to racism, using racial slurs etc) everyone agrees on that. The difference is, that racist beliefs held by black people doesn't hold any real power in comparison to say white people. That is white people do not and cannot experience cultural, infrastructural, and societal disadvantages due to racist beliefs held by black people; specifically because black people are at the bottom of the social totem pole in the United States, and that in comparison to white people they hold no real power at all. This is the original (and true) talking point from academic research that has been diluted by idiotic alt-right simpletons like Gnidi because their little brains got so fixated by the words "black people", "can't be", and "racism."

No one actually thinks black people are physically incapable of withholding racist beliefs. Of course it's a lot easier to get enraged and attack a dumb strawman argument, than it is to attack a fact supported by 500 years of history.

Sure, if you are referring to institutional racism and particularly in a country like the US with a history of slavery and racism, I have no disagreements there at all.

However I think the interpretation of "black people can't be racist" in (2) has nothing to do with institutional racism, I think it speaks to racism held by some non-black people toward the blacks, at least that is my understanding.

What you think is irrelevant.
This debate point originated in American research, and it was co-opted and popularized by people in either the American media, or social media that exists and partakes in the framework of American political and societal issues.
There's a reason why even bimbo youtube/twitter celebrities clarify their stance by defining racism as a phenomena cannot exist indepedently from power. People are almost always never speaking about individual racial prejudice when they say black people can't be racist (or only white people being racist). Not in academia, not in universities, not by white snowflakes liberals/lefties, not by black people or anything else really. They're almost always referring to institutional racism. People who disagree (like you), are attacking a strawman.

Things would be so much easier if a specific group people weren't so easily triggered to the point they're always trying to look for different ways of saying the exact same shit over and over again, which is: "lefties are the realll racists!!!"

What I think matters, to me and that's it, I am not trying to preach here. I am not from the US and not every conversation has to be framed within a particular framework or setting in order to go on. I was simply stating what I think and that's it. I don't have to frame that in the context of the US or whatever.
