Dont think Dembeles side are as in control or have a plan as is made out either. They tried to use Torres extension to ask for a lot more money and hasnt worked so far.

As much as I dislike the direction the newspaper Sport has headed recently, it's not so far-fetched to bring this up for a player that has missed 102 (!) games due to injuries in 4,5 years. There were reports of Barca looking to move him on and he refused.. both PSG and United in 2019 and 2020.

More or less same stories on Dembele refusing to renew and refusing to be sold or leave on loan for last few years.
