Yup and Knowing Barto, Dembele has a juicy loyalty bonus waiting for him this summer. Makes absolutely no sense to incentivize players to run down their contracts and be rewarded for it. A Loyalty bonus should be contingent on the player signing a new contract ffs.

FCB board is to blame, this should have happened in the summer but again Laporta and his incompetent board did nothing.

There is NO WAY a team will pay anything for a player they can get for free in 5 months, if anyone at FCB thought that was possible he should be sacked no question asked.

Nah laporta did the right thing. All the replacements have been signed already. Does not matter if dembele stays or leaves. Hope he stays and rots on the bench though.

Loosing an important amount of money with a player leaving for FREE ? and paying him a whole season for nothing while the club is under the ground financially, is the right thing to do ?

Ok I see how he got elected.

The only ridiculous thing is you, finding excuses for a huge mistake.

Financially we are getting fucked left and right if Dembouz leaves for free, but yeah NOBODY could face the stalling of an extreme genius ... Dembouz !

I don't even buy the stalling excuse cause when someone stalls your offer for 3 months plus then you should know what's up, pretty sure they knew he wasn't going to renew on that reduced terms. They would've sold him for 30m plus at the beginning of the season and avoided paying his wages and all

Loyalty bonuses in football are almost always payed across their contracts.

The issue is giving those that are far too high.

We aren't getting fucked financially. Salary cap was fucking us but that ends now with this window. It does not matter what dembouz is earning. Make him Rot on the bench.

We are good.
