This is a great deal for us. He works well under Xavi and now we get him back at 40% reduced wages, masterclass from Alemany!

Decade of Dominance resumes

Even if it's 30M, it's stil better than 0 we would've get this summer. At least get some of that wasted money back.

Nobody wanted him even for free.
Don't get me misunderstood, I hope he makes in goals and sells well, but if nobody wanted him as a free agent ... Why would they pay for him.

It seems link nobody wants him with his injuries and attitude and $$$ demands. So again, Barca is the only sucker here ... Another "decade of dominance" in headless runs and useless 25 crosses per match. Fake shot moves and rocketing at 45th row are just an add on to the contract.

Xavi crossball for another season.

Unfortunately, he was good for us last season because we've actually been used to seeing players like Jutgla, Demir, Ilias and other raw kids who probably won't make it big. When you talk about other teams... they kind of have better players than Dembele already.

Dembele is good if you are comparing him to some average kid with no experience. Then of course you see Dembele making some stuff happen and you think this guy is great. And then you look at Vinicius humiliating City's defenders in the CL semifinals, and scoring the winner in a CL final, and you realize Dembele is just average for the elite level.

For the level we aspire to get to, Dembele is never going to be better than a rotation player. A bench player you put him in when the game is not going well and you need to take a risk.

With hopes to get Lewa so there is actually someone to be targeted at.

Yea, but that's Lewa's magic mostly. Putting the ball in in the right area is fine, but the key element here is having a Cristiano Ronaldo or a Lewandowski magical striker who would turn that normal ball in the box into a great goal.

If Dembele wants to be a world-class player, then he also needs to take the ball in the right, cut inside, and slam one a la Robben or Messi or Salah, or Di Maria back in the day, in the far corner. he almost never does that because he's not good enough.

This. There is so much middle level players in Barcelona that even an average raw talented player jumps out and everyone hopes he will be new "decade of dominance" player for Barcelona.

He will swing around, throw in, if there is Lewa to harvest these crosses great... But is that the promised Xaviball we all hoped for? No.

Nah he was actually decent for a third of a season (he dipped again for the run in of games). So that was the exception and not the norm.

The other thing is we already know Bartomeu's exhubetent wages. Maybe a 40% wage reduction is still too much- like Sergi Roberto.
