Haha beat me to it. PSG are a dangerous side, definitely can’t be looking past them that’s for sure.
Their game plan suits us in some ways. Flick enjoys these chaotic games where we are trading blows with the opposition. It could be a case of who has the better finishers over two legs or if GKs can save some shots.

He's back to being one of the best players in the world. He'll be a major threat in the round of 16. Him and PSG's pacy attackers against Barca's high line or Liverpool's shaky full backs defensively could be an issue.

Let's not pretend City are not shite this season. Even shit team like Tottenham humiliate them 4-0 at Eithad. Or Sporting also destroyed them 4-0 in UCL.
So it wasn't about City being poor this season, but the fact that PSG dominated them in all categories (possession - 64-36; shots 26-9), I remember Carragher saying it was like Men against Boys; I haven't seen a team dominate City that badly even in this season, like City still dominates most times even when they lose. Against Tottenham City had 58 - 20 possession, 23 - 9 shots. Against Sporting, City had 73 - 27 possession and 20 - 9 shots.

I guess you can see my point now, I think Barca would win them if we faced, but I'd rather face an easy team, statpad, and get to the quarters first.

Heard this before. Didn't happen so far. Maybe 7th time is the charm.

Has his shot at Barca, fecked it up. Had his shot for France, subbed at HT in the final after causing a dumb pen. Last season, bad vs Dortmund. Maybe he is gonna make the step to a world class player, maybe not.

We will need to see him vs top teams in big games.

Careful what you wish for, PSG is playing great football now, they've also got tireless runners (Joao Neves, Barcolo, Hakimi etc) like us. I think we'll still win them, but it'll be a tough game, and I'd rather play an easy game for the round of 16.

These guys won Pep's team 64 - 36 in possession recently, the only team to do that to Pep apart from Barca, and they dominated that game in all sectors. That being said, I believe Barca would win them if we face it, but would prefer something easier.
Oh I think they are doing great and don't understimate them at not. Joao, Hakimi, Barcola, Dembele, Vintinha... lot of dangerous player but it doesn't change the fact that I want to crush them

PSG were great in attack, good in midfield, and shite in defense for the vast majority of the last 8-10 years or so. This is not much different. The key when meeting them is to control the match in midfield. End to end stuff with zero control is not the best way to approach this potential tie. We need to adapt to the opponent as well when the opponent has the tools to hurt you in defense. It is going to be a big test for Flick Barca if we play PSG. But I think we have the weapons to hurt them more than they do. And I think PSG will be the one forced to defend deeper. We have to be careful on their fast breaks and have a solid plan to block their pacy wingers that can own us in 1vs1 scenarios when in space.

It's a tougher game than we'd want in last 16, but it's not down to bad luck but down to PSG being poor in CL so far. Their form is improving though, so this could make it more difficult.
