Paco Alcácer

I think Morata is the most overrated young striker there is. He scored a few shitty goals in the 2014/15 CL knockout stages and apparently he's a good striker now. He didn't do very much before or after that. He's not a good passer, a decent hold up player but he's not even a great finisher- his scoring record is nothing special as well. On top of it, his goals aren't very impressive either, many tap ins. He's not a game changer, those few big goals in 14/15 wont change my mind either.

That being said, I think Paco is overrated by quite a few of you as well. We are paying 30mil +5 for a player at the same level as Munir and 2 years older.

Serouisly? I agreed with you on Morata but I strongly disagree that Munir is on the same level as Alcacer. Alcacer is miles ahead of Munir, he may have been overrated or whatever by some people here, but he is still better than Munir, I feel people are are now overrating Munir in order to argue thier points. Even in our last game, Munir was disappointing in the few minutes he played. I also look for reasons to keep Munir and not spend money but he simply isnt good enough right now and is still in need of major improvement. Munir isnt the goalscorer Alcacer is nor is he the link-up player Alcacer is. 30+5 million for a striker Spanish international with a 80m buyout clause is decent in this market where people like Bolasie go for more than 30m euros.

Won't be long till they turn into relegation fodder then if they keep selling players like that.

They are in a very very bad situation. I can't see them making the top10 this season... they just remind me of Marseille. Big club but pretty fucked up by its finances.

Don't know the story about Marseille, but Valencia have pretty much themselves to blame for being where they are now. Constantly self-destructing even when they had something resembling stability. Fans who were impatient and turned on players and coaches that started doing well for them and started trying to build a base, but still drove them out.

At least if he doesn't work out we can always sell him to Arsenal. Heard they were in the market for a striker these days. :D
