Talking about Alves I think Valencia will have problems getting rid of him. Apparently now Sevilla also decided against buying him and they are close to getting Sirigu on loan. Alves's wage demands must be really high or something else is wrong. I've also read somewhere that he wants a chance to become a starter but of course no interested club (Barça, Sevilla, Milan) were ready to offer him that. And his wages are probably too high for clubs like Celta and Depor who are also looking for a new GK.

I think people get the idea that he's not a good dribbler or handler of the ball because he has a clunky, brutish style on the ball but that doesn't take away from the fact that he can dribble and get past virtually any defender at will.

Read the Two MD posts and one is by Fernando Polo and the other "Unsigned"

The Unsigned one says Lim and Mendes favor the move but the fans, Layhoon Chen and Suso García Pitarch don't want it to happen. The post by Fernando Polo pretty much states Bartomeu and Lim have come into agreement and feel optimistic about a deal being done.

To sum it up the deal is still "Stalled".
