Paco Alcácer

That was... horrible. Just a terrible, terrible game from him. Munir did much better when he played for us. Even Sandro was better for us. I don't remember Paco doing a single good thing in this match. I bet he didn't even sweat after the game. He just stood there. Also, when he was not standing in the attack the defenders were still standing in the same possitions. Meaning that he never even pulled them away from other players. Totally stopped our attack.

And as others have mentioned, he barely touched the ball at all.
In the first half, our team unconsciously turned from Messipendencia into Neymarpendencia.

Busi has the ball: he gives it to Neymar. Neymar tries to dribble through 4 defenders or does a bad through ball final pass.
Denis has the ball: he gave the ball to Neymar in majority of cases. Neymar lost it after it.
We have a counterattack, Busi has the ball, Neymar, Paco and Arda are sprinting, he gave the ball to Neymar each time.
Digne has the ball: he gave it to Ney each time, or to Denis who again gave it to Neymar who tried to dribble, shoot, create a deadly through pass each time.

Paco played bad yesterday, but he'll probably play better when he'll get to know his teammates better, plus when he'll play with Messi+Neymar and Iniesta+Raki behind him.

Yesterday we were just horrible on all levels:
-- if we tried to play through the right flank: Vidal is horrible on all levels, Raki is slow as a turtle and out of form currently, Arda as a RW is not a RW and he is slow and he was somewhat poor yesterday
= so nothing was created through a right flank

-- left flank?
-- Digne is new and he was somewhat dumb yesterday with poor decisions or with passing the ball to Neymar all the time
-- Denis was lost and he was just losing the ball over and over or passing it to Neymar
= and then when the ball came to Neymar, his success ratio of good passes/dribbles/created chances in the first half was something like 1-2 out of 10+ attempts

If we wanted to play through the middle and create chances through our midfielders:
-- Busi was drunk again and played strange
-- Rakitic is totally out of form and he has some family/personal problems
-- Denis was a strange body in our team

So, basically, our game in the first 60-70 minutes (before Messi and Iniesta) was: we are poor both left, right and in the centre.
We couldn't create shit from any part of a pitch.
Our gameplan was: pass the ball left and right until something magically happens.
If nothing happens, bass the ball to Neymar and hope that he will create some magic in a one-man show.

Bartemou should release a book " how to throw 30 M in 2 days " .. i never ever trust panic buys

What panic buy? He was our target for a long time.

Yes, he didn't show much but on a day that the whole team underperformed it's really unfair to judge performance of a player who had 3 trainings with the team.

But yeah, he's a bust and we'll sell him in two years for 5M€.

Well, I'm happy we got Paco instead of Gabigol who I think it's extremely overrated.

What I mean is Paco was our main target for at least the last two weeks of transfer window and would buy him sooner if Valencia wouldn't be such a mess. So it's not like he was a last minute signing. And of course the club and Lucho have closely followed him for years.

More versatile? Maybe, but we don't need that as we have other players who can play on the wings. Our goal was to get a good backup for Suarez who has played way too much over the last two seasons and we got that.

Better? He first has to prove himself in top European league which Paco has already done.

Which top European league is Paco proven in? I certainly hope you're not talking about his time with Valencia. I really, really hope you're not saying the dance of mediocrity that is his Valencia career qualifies him as "Proven". I really, really hope that is not what you are trying to suggest.

He's more proven in La Liga and Europe than Gabigol, that's all I'm saying.

It was his first game andike bravo with city had not had much time with his team mates, it's Luis fault for starting him, he is one of the players i would not have started.

He will take time to learn how to play against team that defend very deep like they do against barca, it's something he isn't use to. That's one thing Munir seem to have been learning how to do, but we sold him

I expected much more from Paco. After all he trained twice with Barca, so where was the blind understanding with his teammates?

It's obvious: He'll never make it here.

SELL!
