What's with you? Why such poison?
There is no 'fuzz'. Nobody is claiming that he'll finally kick into gear for us. We are simply saying that, given his poor season so far, it is a good thing that he finally scored. Nothing else.
There's nothing productive or constructive about your unnecessarily hostile criticism. You just look bad.

You are right and this is not a constructive type of criticism. It's something else.... But poison??? Hostile??? And I look bad???
But until you emotionally calm down, there's a thought to digest:
What makes this thought "productive - even if not constructive - is the fact as you stated "his season so far" was indeed poor, but it hardly matters, as it turned out that he is simply not TALENTED enough to play in this team.

Regardless if he scored a bit more, he is not a player to find his place in this team ever. He's not that good technically, physically, mentally, etc.
Half a year was much more than enough to show his talent, which he failed by not only due to the lack of goals, rather we couldn't see a single - a SINGLE - solution from him which would have been truly nice or outstanding!

This opinion might be constructive and also productive in case: if the management realizes this and tries sell him the soonest.
And don't forget: the management wanted to sign other players, his name came very late, at the time when the window was actually closing... So to say the least, his signing was a rushed and never thought out decision - unfortunately...

I think the problem here is that we are talking about different things. The others and I were only talking about the goal he scored. Nothing else. None of us were referring to his performances this season. We were only saying that hey! he finally scored. That's good.

You on the other hand have his performances this season in mind. Not the goal.

And about that, yes, you are right. And the others probably agree with you as well: he simply has not been good enough. None of us is satisfied with what he has brought to the team.

...Bleh. Now instead of saying he has 0 goals, I have to list all of this nonsense to explain why he managed to get one.

Forget it was a lucky goal and forget it's a fourth tier opposition. Rejoice!

But attackers need confidence and clearly a goal gives you that no-matter how it is scored. Now he doesn't need to break any course, and we can hope he will play better in general because of it - be happy for him :)

All players need confidence, that's nothing new. This game doesn't change anything, he's still trash.
