Paco Alcácer

Paco was basically our last choice though. Gameiro, Nolito, Vietto, etc. couldn't happen.

We never needed them
We don't play with that profile of a player

Suarez is versatile, can play CF, SS, RW and LW too, same as Pedro
can dribble and produce creativity

most of those players are uni-dimensional

Paco was always a horrible idea. I said it before we signed him but many were wedded to the idea of signing a "pure 9" (who of course will get hardly any starts and be rusty as all hell). The smart choice was always to buy a versatile forward, even if he couldnt play as striker. Playing Rafa or Messi as our Suarez replacement is much better than playing Paco.

Absolutely agreed!
Alas, Paco plays like a time traveler from the 60's, standing in the middle surrounded by a few defenders (20 cm taller), and when the ball comes towards him, he is still standing there until it's taken on the way. Rarely moves and rarely moves to the right direction. Messi can feed out of this world balls to Suarez or Neymar, because they start expecting it at unpredictable locations, whereas Paco is just standing there waiting for "something". Huge difference...
His talent is average, his style is very oldish and awfully predictable.

Can't really blame them, we needed a striker this summer and Paco was available ...

There were also other strikers available. Why bring him while having Munir and Sandro after all?
The blame is on them cause otherwise its nobody's fault for this flop transfer!

You guys dont get it do you? Whenever we buy players from Valencia we also buy shares of the club. We basically own Valencia C.F. by now.

So inattentive that the ball comes right to him for a tap in and he doesn't realize it until the ball is already going wide. Where is this poacher's instinct I once heard people talk about?

Even despite that this was easily his best performance for us.

Exactly! He was supposed to be the kind of player that lives for those rebounds inside the box and he isn't even aware of the ball and the team mates behind him...

Call me crazy, but in those dying minutes Arda would have been more useful, in my opinion...
