He isn't being made to play as a dm so jose isn't limiting him but he needs to learn when to bomb on to that left wing and when to stay deeper and move the ball forward and just keep it. Thats what cost us in the first half i believe.

Apart from the lack of creativity, his mixture of strength + skill is ridiculous and City could only stop him with a foul. He just didn't really do much with that possession.
