no one is dissing no one .. we are running a business here .. he was a great option since he publicly said he wanted to play for us .. we had the ressources as you see .. it's just that damn sanction cock-blocked us . just because we say he're a better asset than Gomes doesn't mean we disrespect
I don't even Remember him publicly saying he wanted to play for us last season.

It was said he had dreams of playing for Barca and Arsenal when he was younger. But a lot of players dream of playing for Teams like Real,Barca, United etc but most of the time it never happens. It wasn't just the sanction that prevented us from getting him their were rumors he wanted extremely high wages as in the second highest wage behind the likes of Messi and ahead of guys like Suarez,Iniesta,Busi etc.

We weren't willing to give him the money he wanted so he decided to stay at Juve. It's just one of those deals man or if you Believe that we were never really in for him as Barto wanted to use the Pogba deal as a promise to gain votes for his reelection.

Honestly I'm not even bothered we missed out on him, despite what some people think I'm actually happy with Gomes and Denis. and Pogba he's a talented guy and a beast and I wish him nothing but Success at United.

it's just one of those deals that wasn't meant to be.

lest some people have forgotten, we beat pogba handily even when he was backed up by arturo vidal, marchisio, and pirlo in midfield. he's a good player but thus far, not a once in a generation midfielder.

Yeah he's a very good midfielder, no doubt. But for his transfer fee and WAGES I would want a superstar goal scorer. Kinda like the THREE we have in our team already. So stop being babies.

Speak for yourself, I hope he ends up a bust, just to see the United fans' tears.

well fucking amen to that .. better be a broken Tibia and a teared ACL .

well he demands high wages and he has a case .. Him and Neymar are going to run shit for the next decade so i don't see that as an excuse ..i have a soft spot for Porba because he's a hardworking midfielder ( Kilometers matter ) despite being talented. anyways ..

I don't really care about Pogba or United fans but I will never wish anything good to Mourinho's teams. So as long as Mou will be there (which won't be longer than 2 and half seasons  ) I hope they'll fail hard.

Agree, I think his wages would be bigger obstacle for us to get him than his high transfer fee. People forget about what his wages would do. We could afford to pay 100M if we'd really want him but Pogba would want to be at least the second best paid player on the team and then we'd have problems with Neymar and other players would look to get new contracts as well. We've already seen that players like Masche and Busquets did feel underpaid (and they were right), imagine what would happen if some newcomer who has done nothing for us would come in and get double or almost triple their wages. Also not to mention getting his fat agent's commision and then watch him wanting to have new contract every two seasons and constantly flirting with other clubs if they wouldn't get what they wanted. If you thought dealing with Neymar Sr. is bad, well, making business with Raiola is even worse.

No doubt Pogba is a good player but just not worth that amount of money and troubles he'd make for our total payscale. For Pogba's transfer fee we got 4 players who could all be potential longterm starters. I prefer that approach because we needed strong bench much more than another superstar in a team already full of them.

Thats absurd. These days, players like Higuain go for almost 100m euros. Koulibaly is rumoured to go for 70m euros. Juve got robbed over Pogba, and robbed badly. How they managed to do it, who knows.

He's a very good player, but I don't think you would see the best of him here. Sure, he would be a tremendous asset to have, but he is great at using those long strides at covering ground quickly and using his strength to make driving runs. The way we play (and hence the way oppositions play us), our midfield rarely gets chances to stretch their legs over a distance, using pace and strength to make driving runs. Sure, it can happen during one or two counters, but it's slow and technical build up play 90% of the time.

I'm not saying he isn't good technically, but that he wouldn't be as effective. I would have loved to see him here, but I'm fairly certain he will seem more of a world beater in teams like Man Utd, Chelsea, etc. This is the reason I don't mind us not getting him - for us, he wouldn't really be someone who is worth 100 million plus.

I don't want him to get hurt, but rather just be mediocre.

Hi, Jombi. I think perhaps your crystal ball needs a bit of a polish after your failed prediction on the Pogba 200 million thing. Perhaps it had clouded up? Please, almighty Jombi, do foretell of any future transfer fees on the horizon. How much will Dybala cost in 2019? 500 million plus 3 Ferraris?

I think it just turns out that you don't have the aptitude for forum economic prognosticator.

Pogba's 100 million euro price tag had been flapping in the wind for some time that it was quite clear he would be priced at around that figure.
