Obviously we still had around 30 M left of the initial transfer budget, so buying Paulinho for 40 M will still leave almost all of the Neymar money unused.

Still, these 40 M should have been used to buy Seri, who fits the profile of a Barca CM. I hope Valverde has nothing or little to do with this.

I'm pretty sure this ridiculous transfer is as much on Valverde as it is on the board. He probably wants more pressure and aggression from our midfield, which makes sense. Getting Paulinho to do that job though, is absolutely depressing.

Thats what happens when you bring 2nd tier coaches like Lucho and Valverde that dont know how to act in big club. Im sure they would spend 100m on 5 avg players rather then on 2 WC ones. Benitez syndrom
