Dybala said Juventus told him a month ago he won't be released for the Olympics.

So as of now, he won't play that competition, and Tata didn't select him for the Copa America.

He is U_23 player.Juve can't told him not to go to the Olympics anyway.Argentina can call him and all what Juve can do is to accept the decision.

I read somewhere teams can block players from going, because the olympics are not part of the FIFA international calendar.

There are 2 types of players in the Olympics, those who are 23 or younger in this calendar year (born in or after January 1 1993) those are the regular players .and 3 players allowed over that age.
IIRC after the Messi fiasco in 2008 and Barca challenging Argentina. The rules was made so that the tournament is in FIFA international calendar for U-23 players and not in the agenda for the over age players
That is why we had leverage in Neymar situation b/c we had the right to prevent him from joining and we had to make agreement with them.while we can't do the same with Rafinha

At least call him up for the Copa then. It's in no one's interest that he sits on his ass all summer. A tournament with the NT at that age is good for his development.

I read that Juventus rejected an alleged bid of 90m from us.

Crazy amount of money.

If we would really offer 90M for Dybala they would accept the offer.. You don't get a 90M offer for one player every day.. That is probably just some rubbish rumour..

Barcelona bidding for Dybala is rubbish unless Neymar is leaving which won't happen. I mean cmon, the only way to do that is Messi in middlefield but that would only work in FIFA. You'd get run over by any decent team. Suarez and Messi are staying for sure and you don't buy a 90 M to be a back-up. RM Dybala bids make more sense especially since Benz or Ronaldo could leave.

Juve paid a lot of money for Dybala. He's had an amazing debut season and they don't need to sell. He will go for 100M+.

I am actually glad we didn't get him,he would have wasted his development here and probably loaned with buyback option to Italian team after couple of years.
It will be a career suicide for any talented youngster to play behind MSN .Never mind we actually never had a chance to sign him.He spoke gr8 things about Barca but he already made his mind to move to Juve at that time
It was a no brainer for him,gr8 team where he was gonna be starter immediately in the same league while developing vs playing behind MSN and sitting for 6 months
And Martial cost almost twice Arda btw
