Paulo Dybala

Verratti, Pogba, Bernardo Silva, Kane, Varane, Icardi, Oblak, Lukaku are examples for <25 players who are doing better than Dybala imo or at least as good. You could also make a case for the much younger Kimmich, Asensio, Dembélé, Saul, Mbappé, Jesus, Lemar and Alli.

Hype around this guy is crazy, but its going down slowly, same was with pogba, at the same time guy like Kane was in shadow, probably because he is not material for "superstar" these days, and kids will notbuy his shirt, PR can do wonders, im afraid its same with dembele

Not saying he isn't good because he is, but when I read stuff like "the closest to Messi" or "best u25 player", then I wonder what the fuck is going on here and wether people actually also watch Juve at times or just eat up the propaganda. Apparently when people refer to Dybala they think of that one game against Barca he had, and now they extrapolate this to heights in which they think he's normally like this. FYI: The guy had a great game vs Barca, then went back to go missing for another 7-8 games in a row and this was a regular thing last season. But of course noone remembers that, because that would require actually watching him on a weekly, rather than a yearly base in CL.

He has about nothing in common with Messi except for being also small, Argentinian and kicking the ball with the left foot. But apparently this is all that counts though nowadays when comparing players. Dybala is the new Messi, Mbappé is the new Henry because he's French and from Monaco, previously Martial was the new Henry because he was French and from Monaco. Keita is the new Kante, because he's small and black. And so on...

Yes Dybala is a great player. Yes his game could evolve. But at the moment he isn't what people seem to think he is.

Agreed. I think its ridiculous how other co-incidences such as being of a certain stature, left footed, from a certain country, etc. impact people's perception. Dybala is not similar to Messi...at all.

You can't really compare Verratti with Dybala and why on earth is Lukaku getting a mention !?? His second touch is normally a tackle to recover possession!

because the guy has consistently scored more goals in his career than anyone and anything in his age group. If we talk about Lukakus touch then we'd also have to talk about Dybalas decision making.

Soooo .... Dani Alves last week named Dybala as the nearest in style and talent to Messi that he'd seen in all the players he's played with and against ,.,

Mmmm I wonder who probably knows the most about football ..Dani Alves or you :)

Bellerin was also said to be close to Dani Alves in style once, but turned out to be shit in everything else but running.

Dybala is a World Class player, but don't make him out to be anything like Messi. The only thing they have in common is they're both left-footed and like to occupy the same spaces on the field.

Which is why Messi and Dybala together also might not work that well unless we switch up our tactics completely for him.

He didnt say it last week it was while he was at Juve. most likely he took offence to Juves contract offer and basically said Dybala is not only like Messi but also that he should leave Juve  i remember the drama around it at the time.

i wouldn't trust anything Dani Alves says, hes a legend here but the guy is a cunt

i would love to sign Dybala in the future though

The fact that Lukaku has put his last 9 penalties in the same corner despite 5 of them being saved ( yesterday's included) suggests that he's not the brightest either , as well as having the touch of a mule ...

I agree, but Dybala did not do much in the past 12 months to suggest that he is out of competition to Lukaku, so that mule might just be better or as good at this very point.

You mean last season when Dybala was injured for months

Dude was injured for a bit more than just a single month in November. That's a plain normal amount of gametime missed for any player.

Players say random shit all the time; especially when talking up their team mates. Everyone who plays with Ronaldo claims he's the best; surely I'm wrong in thinking Messi is the best, cause you know, Ramos and co obviously know better than me :)

It's clear to anyone who has seen enough of Dybala to know they are nothing alike in style; I'm not even talking about pedigree, where obviously Dybala is a million miles away.
