pedro is one of the most clinical finishers out there. go check the stats. but the thing is he often plays too far from the goal and is not danger to score. his workrate is brilliant as we all know, but his off the ball movements, creating space and understanding of the game are simply brilliant.
+1
his goals will come, and he'll score them in bunches and then he'll slow down again. the one constant is his understanding of what pep wants as the winger and his tireless effort. his finishing has been shit so far but people seem to under value the emphasis pep and this team put into getting the ball back and pressuring the opposing back 4 to keep the other team on their heels, he is monumental in that regard

Hopefully he got this fellow off his back

I noticed something today. He and Villa lacked the ability to beat a defender one-on-one - something Messi, Iniesta and Alexis thrive on. They make excellent runs and can shoot but both Pedro and David aren't really on the same technical level as those three.

Aside from the goal, he was nothing special.

This has been clear for a long time. Also, Alves is another one who can beat defenders on 1 vs 1.

Give credit where credit is due: AC Milan defended very well in the first half and got really tired in the second. Nesta put on a MOTM performance and made some crucial tackles that could have made it 3-1 for us.

Alves can do it but he doesn't do it as often as he should. He was a constant pain in the ass for Silva and Zambrotta but he passed rather than shoot or take the defender on. A confidence issue maybe?

Milan did defend very well but there were situations where I thought Alexis would have done better than both Villa or Pedro.
