Im not surprised we started to score goals again when our possession went down after Lope got fired.
Today we didnt have more than 50 and we scored 4, under Lope we would have had like 75% and maybe end up with a single goal, tiki taka doesnt work here, probably never will.

I reckon it's very little to do with just possession oriented approach. Look at the kind of goals we scored in the last 4 games. We gave up 1 or 2 chances every game at the back and never went down early. Nearly all goals up until Celta game we've scored in the same situations that we missed at Alaves or Levante. It is merely the effect of not being forced to score while we're losing. The likes of Benzema and Bale almost never consistently put them away when they absolutely have to. Benz is playing like a man possessed in those circumstances. That 2nd goal against Plzen and 2nd tonight were filthy pieces of ball control.

If there was anything that changed, it's actually not having the ordinary starting defence, which improved us. Odriozola played in all of the games and was the best player. Young Sanchez played in 3 of them and was barely at fault for anything. Reguilon is the most all around left-back we've had since probably even before Carlos. I almost expect the mistakes on the left side to come back again once Marcelo returns.

So.

Marcelo, Varane, Carvajal, Mariano and Vallejo all out up until and possibly including Eibar on 24th.

Nacho confirmed out till mid-January.
Casemiro sprained ankle and out till Valencia.

Reguilon probably 2-4 week break with a muscular problem.

... whoever was behind the fitness preparations of this team under Lopetegui ought to be sued.

Injury after injury after injury, every single season, someone needs to be fired, preferably our entire medical staff.

Which proven quality player is out there and who can they pry away? I still think Real Madrid’s strategy of keeping buying lottery tickets is a smart one. None of them needs to be as good as Neymar, just being half of what Neymar is or being decent enough is a win for them, considering they did not pay much for them and they have loads of cash to spend.

Well, i guess Solari wont be another Zidane.

And who still thinks its a good idea to field Kroos/Ceballos at DM? Give Llorente the opportunity.

A piece of Solari's wisdom:

"We must stop conceding so many goals, and score more goals, as we had been doing recently," Solari said. "That is the job of the coach -- that you concede few, and score a lot, and it is what we will aim to do."

Perez will re-build the squad. Saved tons of cash in last 3 seasons.

Would bet Neymar will come sooner or later too.

Most of that cash is used on the Santiago Bernabeu renovation which is done by.......his company ACS. Florentino seem content having won all these CL titles the last few years and might leave Presidency after his current term ends.
