They need a defensive midfielder. Ideally they should get someone like Cambiasso, not cup tied as far as I'm aware (europa doesn't cup tie you for CL does it?) and he is the right age to have a decent season or two with them as long as he is used sparingly for CL matches.
The dream signing for them would be De Rossi but Roma won't sell him no matter what.
