they were team mates in the NT team but as far as it is known Pep is very good friends with Hierro & Lucho ..the dominant trio of Spanish football in the 90's .

What makes you think he has Jewish roots? Spain has never had a particularly high proportion of ethnic Jewish immigrants, and Guardiola's name - first and last, as well as his parents', don't really imply Jewish roots. You never know though!
