Miss you mister

Time to return home for a new generation of players

I actually hold this against him and think he's an asshole. Just finish this City "project" and come back. All his past players will be gone by then, Laporta president, fucking do it.

Hell Zidane is staying longer at Madrid than he did at Barca.

You're welcome
Guardiola will never return as long as he doesn't have close to carte-blanche to sign whichever player he wants.

Guardiola will never return as long as he doesn't have close to carte-blanche to sign whichever player he wants.

He's already done that at City. All his coaching jobs have been different.

At Barca he built his style with a homegrown core.
At Bayern he implemented his style in another culture, more known for physical football.
At City he's basically building his dream team.

Don't think he has much to gain from returning as Barca coach, no matter the freedom he gets.

It's clear a lot of Pep's issues stems from his poor relationship with Rosell and Bartomeu. I mean the guy blasted Rosell publicly in a press conference lol.

I doubt he'll return to Barca as a manager, but if there's even a tiny chance of that happening it's with Laporta.

He doesn't even have that at Man City.

Why not though? If the board is to his liking? Worried he'll get hold to a too-high standard after his first stint? Not to worry, we're trimming our expectations with each season lately.

PSG tie shows how much CL is about luck too. City scored some flukey goals and PSG missed sitters. Football is a game of small edges, finally those edges went for Pep. Well deserved final after years of trying..

Not saying that City didn't deserve to win, but I would say 4-1 is harsh based on the two games. City didn't look that good. Yet again, PSG probably didn't deserve to beat Barcelona 5-2 or Bayern 2-3 in the first game. Sometimes we forget how small these edges are and how much luck is involved in the result.

Also last season PSG was five minutes away from dropping vs Atalanta in CL and then went to final
Crazy stuff really.

And losing Mbappe hurt PSG a lot. City didn't have to worry counters now at all. Pochettino putting Icardi on front was a huge mistake. It's like Barca putting Suarez on top vs Bayern. (No legs, no counters), not to mention rest of the team being super slow and old.

This is always true, CL is a VERY high variance competition.
Pep has performed greatly for many years, but it is very much normal to not reach a final in 10 years, even if you are one of the top.5 teams every year.

I will point out, I believed in City when they were down 0-1 in the first leg, but their turnaround was much more distinct and dominating than what I expected.

I believe he'll want to manage a club in Italy, and maybe do something in the U.S or something like that, before returning to Barcelona for a different role, not involved directly with the team.

Pep will be at City for a while yet most likely.

Has always seen City as his legacy and has a team that could go on to even more success.

Anywhere else from EPL is a step down for coaches and where they want to be at moment.

Unless family situation changes or something non football related cant see him leaving for years yet despite the fact the Catalan press will start claiming he may come back if/when City win the CL.

Going for those 4 CL's in a row. What better way to start that off than beating Madrid in the first final.

There was so much bad blood between Pep and the board that we probably don't know the full picture of and never will. Good thing Rosell came too late and wasn't able to hijack our 2010-11 campaign.

I don’t think there is a chance he comes back.

It still pisses me off he left in the first place. The team was pretty much in its prime and he still could have gotten results.
