Horrible mental strength.
A guy like him might succeed if he is surrounded by other 3-4-5 leaders.
But since our team is filled with washed up choir boys with damaged mental strength, Cou sank like a Titanic.

Before he came, I didn't know that Cou is so mentally weak.

Or maybe a current Barca, amigos and money are doing that to every player :/

Cou is done for me, btw.
He might be good, if we want CL 1/4s and CDR's though.

He's Everton level now.

But you still believe big things to come from him next season, right?

PSG and Neymar are committed to a long term relationship. I can do nothing else than believe he will get into fitness. The talent is not in doubt. Let's pray he doesn't get injured.

1. Lucky draw the same as City
2. Less choir boys, more hunger, more fight, more leaders (Thiago, Azpili, Mount)
3. Shooting on goal more often instead of Pep's:
Attacker runs towards the touchline, attacker makes a back pass towards 5-6 meters from the goal and someone will tap in.
City was trying this trick over and over.

I had a feeling that Tuchel figured this out and told to his players:
When they have the ball in the box, let them shoot. Because they won't.
Just close them down and wait for a pass into a heart of a box.

Pep is always doing this: he finds one trick and then he is overusing it.
And if he is figured out, his answer is: just try the same thing 10 times more. It will work out once, I hope.

How to KO Pep in a CL?
1. Play slightly dirty
2. Wait for backpasses in the box
3. Make 3 deadly counters in a match

Pep won a possession battle.
Tuchel won a battle in the attacking third and defensive third (goals and defending).

At least Pep had more control, 460 did it's job :pep:

Not really. had Pep gone with the usual trick tonight and played his normal team they probably win this CL

Congrats to Pep on his domestic achievements.

That was probably one of the worst CL final performances of all time though.

I don't recall the last time in a CL final where literally zero players from one team showed up. And that was City today.

He got the team selection wrong but individually the occasion got to the majority of the City players. None of them played well.

I dont know how anyone can say "this was the worst final" for a while, considering Liverpool - Spurs happened, literally nobody showed up in that game, a early penalty and then nothing, nothing for the rest of the game.

He had spells at Liverpool where was poor as well. I watched him get owned by Fabian Delph at Wembley in April 2015 in the fa cup semi-final.

Never struck me as a leader in times of trouble.

Pep to go trophyless next year after losing the confidence of his players due to crazy team selection in biggest game of their lives. Then off to PSG

All-english finals are usually terribly boring. Just like so called big pl matches that always end 0-0.

You're welcome

Forget about what team/coach you like or what mistakes they made. If you were a neutral football fan this game would have been miles better than the behemoth that is Liverpool - Spurs. Even without comparison first half of this game was pretty exciting.

Yeah, sure. But Liverpool Spurs gotta be one of the worst finals we've seen.

I'm not sure that will happen, but there's certainly a possibility the team might stop buying into him after being so close and failing. It must be gut-wrenching for the players and him as well no matter what he says. This is the trophy Pep has chased since he left Barca and Man City have wanted ever since the take-over.

Will be interesting to see if he can bounce back next season but it might really be his last one in Manchester if the wheels start falling off.

Sounds like a shit relationship to me. Well, fans will be probably back in the stands next season, and i am sure they will show Neymar their ''love''. It's not for the first time, I meant the PSG fans.
