Some of you are missing one thing. Pep is not taking Thiago from Rosell. He is taking him from Barca.
Rosell is a piece of work but don't confuse pep for a saint. He is following his own ambition outside Barcelona and always had it planned not to be Barca manager for a long time.

Two things...One, we don't know yet whether he's taking Thiago or not...Pere is Thiago's agent, let's not forget that bit either...Two, Thiago is not being poached...He's got a contract with a ridiculous clause put in by the current board that makes him available

Not being a Barcelona manager for all time ala Fergie is not the same as attacking your club...He's going after Rosell...How often can you recall Guardiola angry like this?

You are confusing things.

Bottom line is: Pep took staff from FC Barcelona and is now going after Thiago. So yes, he is attacking the club.

Where did you read that? I've always thought his father Mazinho is his agent?

Don't think he is attacking the club, a coach leaving with staff is kinda acceptable, him wanting thiago is kinda acceptable too cause thiago hasn't made it clear that he wants to stay at barca, I don't think pep would want a barca player that is not available. He saw a situation where a player is open to a move and he wants to take it.

I don't get it... How are they harming him using Tito's disease?

I have no idea what's going on... Could you please be a little more clear as to what's going on between Pep and the board?
You're not alone. I'm really confused. How did Rosell harm Pep exactly?

Looks to me like the rumors about a rift between Pep and Rosell/the board were true. Probably part of the reason he left.

Well no matter how you choose to look at the whole staff+Thiago situation, one thing is clear: Pep really has some problem with Rosell and the board. I don't think it's right to attack him for making those comments or choosing to bring a few staff members and possibly a player with him to his new club. I mean he obviously shouldn't be pitying Barca with every decision he makes at Bayern, his priorities have shifted and he's making professional decisions. He's not out to get Barca, but under Rosell he's certainly showing the cold shoulder towards the club.

I also don't see what the problem is with taking some of the staff along with him. Pep could have taken Tito along with him, as well. Tito said that if Pep wasn't taking a year off, he'd be going along with him to whatever the next club was. These things happen all the time in football and it's perfectly acceptable. Especially if some of the members of staff were guys that he brought in when he first took over FCB's first team.

I don't really like him going after Thiago, not one bit, but I can't really criticize him much for it. It's Thiago's decision, he's not stealing anyone.

Besides, what I find most interesting in this entire story is that we don't see any effort from FCB to keep Thiago. Am I missing something here? You'd think that they'd make at least some effort to convince him to stay. We can't know what's happening behind the scenes, but from what I've heard, the club said they won't offer him a better contract to convince him to stay, and Tito told Thiago in a meeting that he thinks he's been fair so far and isn't offering him better treatment next season. If any of this is true, it seems like the club doesn't really care whether Thiago stays or not, and makes Thiago's wish to leave perfectly understandable. Plus, it makes Pep's offer less negative.

Definitely, especially the last paragraph...For all we know, this is merely a windup of the board to give Thiago & Pere the contract improvement they wanted all along...But it is strange, although in keeping, let's be honest, with how Sandy has run things at Barcelona to see them lose Thiago for a fraction of his value

It's almost insidious the way, brick by brick, Rosell et al have been attempting to dismantle what Pep & Laporta built...Sandy started his case against Laporta from years back but spent the better part of year 1 & 2 of his project discrediting everything Laporta did...Cruyff, binned...I mean, how on earth can you bin the very man who resurrected the club to the glory we've seen in recent years?...Guardiola was invariably next on the firing line and undoubtedly led to his resignation...The knocks on Pep, the lies printed in the press and then the 'smoking gun' regarding the Neymar transfer was always going to result in Guardiola firing back...It was shit from Rosell, thinking he'd sway socios from the Pep camp to his own - talk about massive ego and not having a grip on reality

There's definitely a war on now...Expect Catalan media to reload with Rosell scuds
