We're back at the beginning where I have to say: and this all contributes to the fact that it's Pep fault that Thiago is leaving how? Barcelona fucked up with the contract, they fucked up with the playing time, and now they have to deal with it. I don't get why people are so pissed off about it. If Thiago wants to leave, fine let him leave. If he wants to stay he still can and if Barcelona wanted him to stay they could've offered him a better deal.
It's really not that hard. But I'm done discussing about this.

No its not his fault but there are too many midfielders at the club due to him and that plays a big part in the problem.

They may have fucked up with the contract in terms of not playing him in a few more games, but that would not have made him happy. He still would have wanted to leave and he would have known full well why they suddenly started playing him in those games.

I'm not saying it's unnatural, I'm just saying that's how it is. He's already happily trusted Roura to take over as coach in Tito's absence, I wouldn't put it past him to do it again should Tito leave permanently.

Thats how it is every time and Rosell was vote in as people wanted some change from the Laporta regime.

Rosell did nothing at all wong and had no vendetta against any Laporta staff other than to the extent that will happen every time a new president comes in.

He left the football side of it untouched and tried his best to give them the conditions to work in.

I'm not saying that he'll neglect Lucho just to spite Laporta's crew, but he'll definitely take a more keen eye to someone closer to him like Roura.

Except for the fact that Rosell already let him take over once?? And it's not 100% going to be Roura, possibly Rubi if he turns out to be valuable or maybe someone outside of the club entirely.

Haha good guess.

It might be someone in the club or someone out the club entirely!

He left Roura in charge as they had the idea of Tito still managing the team remotely from New York, choosing team observing training etc. To be fair it worked quite well although was not ideal. There was no real possibility of taking someone in to run the team and confuse the players about who exactly is in charge. I agree there should have been more help for Roura and that has also been addressed.

It was not easy just to take a new manager in for a few months.

It blows my mind that people can think that Pep is a liar or betrayed the club. He said when he left he wouldn't go for any Barca player who didn't want to leave, which Thiago obviously does. He shouldn't be commenting on it during negotiations but he's hardly unsettling a player whose been constantly been linked with moves to the other clubs the last few months. All he did was point out the obvious problem with the current board changing the culture with big money signings over giving young players a chance, while getting rid of everyone within the club that molded the current team.

Even if I didn't want Cesc to come back Pep managed to keep all four cms happy and that was with Keita in the mix for the 2 advanced positions also so it's not like it's impossible, Tito just didn't rotate properly at all just like most inexperienced managers at a club the size of Barca would and he needs to improve on that. Obviously a change is needed somewhere if Tito actually didn't know about the 60% clause, that kind of miscommunication is inexcusable and hopefully after the next election the club will be back to being run by true cules, not businessmen with their own agenda.

I don't understand but why do most people in this forum like Lucho so much? He did a mediocre job in Roma and didn't leave an impression on me, despite the countless Roma games I watched. How would Lucho be any different than Tito? IMO, Tito is a better coach than Lucho.

Did you watch Barca B when he was in charge? That's why people like him. He didn't fit Roma but that doesn't mean he's a bad manager.
