He won't play for us again. Maybe 2-3 sub appearances at most. Isn't it 5 more games before we have to pay another 5m? Just sell him for 20-30m and be done with it

Imagine going to Everton after beeing a Lpool star.

jamez rodriguez made a bigger downgrade, from real/bayern to everton. but i kind of feel coutinho's family already know how much of a shit hole liverpool is and would never want to go back living there.

liverpool is not a shithole. theyve had one bad season after losing their most important players. we would be just as bad if messi were injured

maybe you haven't read my post. i was referring to the actual town/area. i've visited both liverpool and barcelona, and the difference is night and day. imagine being a brazilian and doing the same comparison. were do you think they would want to live?

Clearly Barcelona is the better City to live but players are not as impacted as is made out by where they live and nor is it a shit hole where those players will live in their plush houses.

Most reports claimed that Coutinho had been angling for move back to Liverpool for a while anyway.

i highly doubt professioal footballers choose which clubs to play for based on that. it might be a bonus/an annoyance, but there's a reason theyre not exactly lining up to play for Monaco

most don't, but south americans have a history of not adapting in england. and most of them have mentioned the weather, food and language as being the reasons.

i believe aguero is the only south american to be successful and play there for more than 10 years. david luiz is another example, albeit he is not that good.

More than 10 years is not down to them not liking the area though or not adapting.

Those stories are few and far between.

maybe. but the idea that its the weather is just silly. thats not how millionaire footballers think/make decisions. plenty of south americans do well in germany.

The weather depends on where the player hails from. If they come from the southern end of South America, then they're used to the seasonal changes. As for the culture that's the biggest issue. That why most these players create a bubble and import their family, friends, media, and more from home. If I had the money I would do it too, as well as anyone else. Not everyone can easily adapt to unknown areas where most elements of control are intially out of reach.
